Sophia.

" Hey baby, I got you some breakfast from dunkin" Noah said walking over to me with a small Dunkin' Donuts bag.

" Thank you" I softly mumbled sitting criss cross and beginning to eat the breakfast sandwich.

I glanced over to my momma, her lifeless body staring back at me. Her pain radiating off of her skin.

How could this happen again? How could I have been so oblivious? I knew it was a good thing I didn't go too far.

" How are the boys? How was Jay?" I asked wiping my mouth.

Jay was quickly released from police questioning and wanted to come be with momma but when I saw her laying on the bed all pale and lifeless I couldn't let him see that.

I sent Noah to yo drop him and Dylan off at the house to wait and calm down. I could immediately tell in Jaden's eyes he was terrified.

He never first hand experienced seeing her the way I did the first time. He was too young and I wouldn't allow him around her when it happened.

I knew it was traumatize him, it traumatized me.

" When I left Jay was a little calmer, still a bit shaken up but Dylan was very helpful and comforted him. I got them some food and made sure they were safe in the house before I came back here to you." Noah said softly switching places with me, pulling me down onto his lap.

Noah and I weren't certain of our rekindling but it felt nice to have support from him again. I felt safe in his arms so I didn't complain when they were wrapped around me.

" I'm scared" I softly cried laying my head onto Noah's chest. Noah sighed kissing my cheek.

" I know princess..." Noah sighed kissing my cheek. " But we prayed and we hope for the best...She'll be okay" He said gently rubbing my thigh.

I nodded taking a couple deep breaths.

Where was Da- Derek?

He hasn't answered any calls or texts, does he not care how much pain my mother is in?

Soon as my thoughts started getting jumbled up over where Derek was during all of this, My father walked in.

Thankfully alone and not with his annoying wife.

" Hey, I just got finished talking to Dr. De–" My dad froze when his eyes landed on my mom. I looked into his eyes and saw the shock and pain snap into them.

Seeing her like this hurt him, imagine how he would've felt knowing it was his fault years ago.

Without a word, he walked over and grabbed her hand. His hands shaking as he held it.

What was truly happening?

I didn't expect him to react like this towards her no matter how much he knew her and loved her at one point.

He didn't even do this for his own wife.

" Can I get a minute to speak with your mother Sophia please?" He said, his voice sounding like it cracked a little.

I furrowed my eyebrows looking at Noah but indeed stood up and started to make my way out the hospital room.

I made it to the door and went to shut it but instead decided to listen.
