I was having all kind of feelings at once. It felt more like deja vu. I was never unsure about all this but today every uncertainty that might have been left in any corner of my mind , left my body as I took my first step towards my unwavering future and love to get one with him.
Ok I was too much in the moment. Actually before I could take a step ahead, I got extremely nervous seeing the crowd gathered here to witness our wedding and made a u turn , going right back inside the room.
But Tee stopped me on time grabbing my shoulder to restrain fron going any further inside. Tee stood right in front of me, on he tiptoes to better stare me in the eye, and gripped my wrists in his hard hands.
“Focus, Bas. P'Godt is waiting for you there.” I took a deep breath, willing myself into composure as I again tried to made my way towards the gate, but this time Tee along side me. I needed him beside me .
The music playing on the backgound slowly morphed into a new song as I focused to hear it clearly . But than Tee nudged me getting my attention. “Bas , lets get going." I was still in daze. “Bas ?” Tee asked, still holding my gaze.
“Yes,” I squeaked. “P'Godt. Okay.” I let him push me forward. The sound of th song got louder in the hall as I made my entrance in the hall. It floated in the room along with the fragrance of a million of flowers. I concentrated on the idea of P'Godt waiting for me, to get my feet to shuffle forward.
A sudden applause filled the whole room. Everyone stood up from their respective seat to welcome me with grand clapping of hand and throwing flower patels over me. At that time I recognized my cue “Don’t let me fall, Tee ,” I whispered. Tee pulled my hand through his arm and then grasped it tightly.
Calm down Bas, I told myself as we began to walk throught the room filled with hundreds of people. I couldn't lift my eyes untill I was sure that I won't fall now , though I could hear the murmurs and rustling of the audience as I came near the alter .
Blush rushed to my cheeks at their murmur, but shook that thought out of my head and as soon as I got hold of myself and passed the peoples, my eyes looked for him.
For few seconds, I got distracted by the profusion of white roses that made everything in the room look alive, dripping with long lines of red gossamer ribbons. But I tore my eyes away from them and searched across the hall for him.
I blushed more deeply as I realised that everyone's eyes were focused on me, until I found him , standing on the alter staring right at me with big smile tugging on his lips and seeing him my breathe hitched . He looked damn handsome in his wedding suit.
I was barely conscious of his father standing by his side, and the priest right behind both of them . I didn’t see his mother , where she could have been sitting , or should I say my new mom. I was elated over the thought of having a family again. I loved thw sound of 'family'
