Bas's POV

What Mr. Thanit said made me jump a little and I looked at him shocked realising what he had just said.

"W-h........ what? Seriously! " he said nothing to that but extended his hand and with a quick movement I took it for a gratifying hand shake. His grip on my hand were firm , his skin was impossibly smooth and suddenly I had a desire to run my hand on his bare skin.

" Welcome to Thanit Corporation " he said smiling, revealing his perfect white teeth. I stopped breathing . He really is beautiful. No one should be this good looking.

"But we have fifteen more candidates! And  we haven't even.........." I glanced at Miss Aunum, waiting for her to continue what see was saying but she stop abruptly, squirming uncomfortably under Mr. Thanit's penetrating gaze.

"This is the one" Mr. Thanit announced , deadpan.

The atmosphere in the room rose, and I swallowed hard seeing their exchange through their eyes.. He crocked his eyebrows tilting his head a little , waiting for his VP's reply. ".....of course Sir ! I  Understand. "

"Mr. Thanit , sir, I .........." I hesitated at first but tried to change the intense aura coming from them because I couldn't stand that anymore.

"Call me Itthipat " he said turning his attention back to me. His eyes were alight with curiosity. Crap.... Where is this heading to ??

" sir! I m-ean Mr. Itthipat , I am just ......... so honoured for this opportunity. I promise that I won't let you down." I tried sounding as politely as I could . As I rise , he stand and once again held out his hands.

"Good. Because I take promises very seriously. " it sounded like a challenge, or a threat, I am not sure which. But nevertheless I shook his hand once again, astounded that that odd current between us is still there . It must be my nerves.

Shaking those thoughts out of my mind I asked " so when do I start ?"

"Right now! "

Just then Miss Aunum excused herself , leaving the room to process my paperwork and Mr. Thanit moving with an elegant grace to the door, opened it wide for us to leave. Taking my stuffs I tried following him with the same grace but my legs got tangled *😅😅😅.... way to get embarrassed profoundly..😂*. Embracing myself for the painful hit, I closed my eyes but it never came.

Gentle hands were around me, helping me to stand properly. I was embarrassed , damn my clumsiness. I had to steel myself to glance up to find that Mr. Thanit was the one holding me securely in his arm.

His face was so close to mine. His hot breath on my face send a tingling feeling and a strange muscle deep in my belly clenched suddenly. He was watching me closely, he was breathing hoarsely and our heart was beating together, frantically, at the mere touch we had.

His intense eyes flickered continuously from my lips to my eyes like he wanted to kiss me so badly. The mere thought of him wanting to kiss me send a wild shiver down my spine and I had to bit my lips to stop a moan from escaping.

I had to tore my eyes from his scrutiny and stared blindly at my hand clawing on his shoulder for support. I untangled myself from him , hearing foot step coming our way but before I could step away from him, he took my wrist in his hard grip and hauled me out of the room in a hurry to a glistening , shiny elevator.
