I sit quietly. Like the rest of the students, doing exactly what a good girl should do. The bell rings and I stay seated not wanting to be caught in the way of all the stampeding kids. " Sit down!" yells Mr.Brite, "you people need to learn some manners! You know the bell doesn't dismiss you. Only I can do that." Everyone groans as they head back to their seats. Mr.Brite peers at me and says " Thank you Janice, you were the one person who didn't get up out of their seats." I think to myself. "They already resent me enough why do you have to make it so much worse? Why cant you ignore me and just suppress whatever thoughts pop into your head about my good behaviour?" but of course Mr.Brite continues not hearing a word of what goes on inside my head. " Class you could really learn a thing or two from my star pupil, dismissed!" a lot of glares and nasty looks are tossed my way in the rush out of class. Grudgingly I get up and leave but not before being stopped by Mr.Brite " Janice I do hope you open up more" he says "I think they would really understand you if you did" Understand?! I practically choke trying to hold back my laughter. People don't understand, they judge, and they hang. There is no say in it for the prosecuted. But again he cant hear me so I simply say " Ill try Mr.Brite, have a good day" he nods and responds " you too Janice, and..." I'm out the door before he can finish whatever he was going to say.I don't want to hear it anymore he has done enough damage. I walk out the door and the final bell rings. That's when i realize I was in his class for longer than i thought. I quickly run too my locker, and find a note taped to the front "TEACHERS PET" I read out loud and tear it off. I grab my books dropping in the note then slam my locker shut. I run to my last class and try to open the door. Its locked. I let out a little groan and knock on the door, it swings open and Ms.Malony is waiting cross armed. Eyes glaring and giving me an icy look, out of all the teachers she is by far the worst. " Miss Marloe I'm so glad you could make it to class wont you please sit down" I hand her the homework from last night and head to my seat. " Alright now class what I was saying before I was ever so rudely interrupted.." she stops for half a breath to give me that icy look "...was that you will have a home work assignment on magnetism tonight and must be done by tomorrow." little irritated sighs are let out all across the room but I don't mind because I already finished the assignment, so I kick back and fall into the slight coziness that comes with being by yourself in a room full of people.
