-6 months-
These past months has been hell for Joyce, Lonnie always seems to do things to Joyce while the boys aren't looking. But she won't take it anymore.
"Joyce this food is really gross." Lonnie looks at Joyce
"Well, I'm sorry. Make yourself some more food, I can't be late for work." "No, YOU make me some new food." "Last time I checked you were a grown man who is able to take care of himself!" Joyce Immediately heard what she did wrong "what did you say Joyce?" Lonnie looks at her "I-I'm Sorry Lonnie..." Lonnie goes up to Joyce and hits her but as he did that Jonathan walked in right as he hit her but Lonnie doesn't notice him, Lonnie grabs Joyce's arms and pulls her onto the ground "Mom!" Jonathan Screamed "Dad! Stop hitting her!" She tries to make words come out but can't because Lonnie knocked the breath out of her
Joyce kicked at Lonnie to get him off her "go to hell!" Joyce pushes him off her and runs to Jonathan and whispers "get your brother, get your brother to my room lock it and call chief Jim Hopper okay?" Jonathan nods and does just that "what the hell Lonnie? In front of our son?" She touches her head and feels a knot on it "this ends today." Joyce gives Lonnie a look and goes to the bathroom to clean herself off and as she comes out there's a knock at the door
Joyce answers it and there's a tall man, about 6 feet tall standing at the door "Hopper, thank god..." Joyce whispers "oh, my god, he really did get you good..." Hopper looks at Joyce's face "yeah..." "and, it's been like this...how long?" the chief asked "Since I came home from the hospital with Will...and he's hit me at least everyday since then..." "has he ever hit the boys?" "No, thank god." "Okay, were gonna get him gone." "Thank you so-" "what's all this?" Lonnie stands in the entrance of the hallway with his arms crossed "I-it's nothing..." Joyce mumbled
The chief looks at Joyce and he can sense real fear in the atmosphere around her. But this time, this time, Joyce isn't scared, she stands her ground "I am SICK and tired of this constant, constant, abuse! It is everyday! Every goddamn day Lonnie! I'm so over you, IT, I'm over this, GET OUT OF MY HOUSE, and don't come back!" "You say that now, until Will gives you trouble, then you'll come crawling back to me." Joyce scoffs "Yeah, Sure, because your a big help, When was the last time you held Will? Have you even ever held him?" Lonnie pounces at Joyce like a house cat would pounce at yarn
Joyce's reflexes kick in and she immediately covers her head "NO!" Hopper steps in front of Joyce "I suggest you leave this house before I get a restraining order" Joyce says and she's looking at Lonnie "fine, whatever, but I'm not taking you back" Lonnie leaves the house as soon as Lonnie leaves she hugs Hopper "thank you so much" "your welcome"
