"We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths." — Walt Disney

"So do you have a place to stay, Hime-chan?" The small blonde boy who had been previously riding atop the larger, black-haired boy's shoulders asked me as we approached an exceptionally large limousine.

"She's staying with me!" Tama-chan cried out, raising his fist to the air dramatically. Huh, so two years really didn't change a person. Or it's just Tamaki.

"I already have accommodation arranged, my apologies." I gave Tamaki a small smile. "If you would excuse me, I need to change into the Ouran uniform before I attend school." I inclined my head to the bathrooms at the front of the building.

"Eh!? You wanna go back to school?" The viotlet-eyed boy exclaimed. "I wanted to show you around my house though and just tell my dad you were jetlagged..."

"Whose reasoning was it?" The other black-haired, glasses-toting boy muttered.

"Sorry." I bowed apologetically. "I have directions not to neglect my studies."

After a long ride filled with introductions, useless conversation and a lot of unnecessary questions, our group finally arrived at Ouran Academy.

My feet halted of their own accord at the front gate. The map Tama-chan had given me was nothing compared to actually laying my eyes upon the school I was now attending.

And it was beautiful.

The blossom-pink fully complimented the bright yellow of the girls' dresses while managing not to set off the blue of the boys' uniform. I just wanted to sit right here and paint all day.

Sing. I meant write a song, of course.

"Hime~" Two voices cooed in unison.

"Hikaru-kun, Kaoru-kun." I nodded politely to indicate I was still following them, though not in either particular's direction - I couldn't tell them apart, not in the slightest. And something in my subconscious told me it was best not to tread on that particular topic.

"Come now, you'd better get checked in before lunch's over!" They grinned mischievously, leaning closer into my personal space.

I took a deep breath, willing myself to calm. Once mother dearest got drunk, she always leant too close to me too. One thing I'd learnt was that backing away meant to encourage the predator.

"Lunch?" I was proud that my voice was cooler and more refined than my thoughts.

"In the cafeteria, this way." They exchanged a look of seemingly surprise before tugging me away from the gates and down a carefully-kept pathway. Surprise? Surprise at what? The fact I'd managed to withstand their overly-testosterone-laden 'charms', maybe?

Idiots, all of them.

"So... what do you have next, anyways?" The twin on my right plucked the map out of my hand, flipping it to view the timetable on the other side. I'd already made a point to memorize it, as one might do so with lyrics.

A double mathematics.

"Ooh, double math..." The other twin hissed and winced in mock pain. "That's a killer - and the same as us!"

My attention was momentarily drawn away from the boys nearly draped over me as we walked to class to a nearby group of stuck-up looking girls. Their whispers were meant to be hushed, but they carried across the melon-green lawn like a wind whipping through an open window.
