Chapter Triggers-Suicide <the action of doing so>

Keith's P.O.V.

"Mommy?"
She locked the door, her breath screaming out of her lungs, and turned her back to the tall peice of wood trapping me inside with her. My father pounding the door with his fist on the other side, yelling, yelling, yelling.
"Mommy has to go away for a while sweetie" my mother's black hair covered her eyes as she grabbed something from daddys closet.
"How long will you be gone?" I asked. She smiled weakly at me before answering.
"Such innocence you have" she smiled, "no, I will not be coming back"

I was confused at the time. My mother? Where was she going that would take a life time?

"Tell your father I said goodbye, okay keith?"
"O-okay..." I looked up at her as she put something in her mouth. A smile before the click, bang, thud.

It rung in my ears. A high shrill followed by a thud. My mother lay on the bed as her blood drained out of her scalp. My mother. My mother, my mother...

The door broke. Splintering on the sides.

20 seconds too late, the pool of blood staining the bedsheets, the carpet, my mother.

My father stood there, expressionless

"...." his eyes flared up. A hint of relief nestled amongst the sadness that loomed in them. He touched my shoulder, grasping it tightly.

I turned towards him the tears on my cheeks starting to dry and leave a salty trail.

"Mommy said goodbye"
