Rye X Aria

Aria's pov:

The wait seems so long but actually it's been just five minutes.
I can't wait to see my boyfriend, Rye.
Today is our first month anniversary and I'm so excited to see his present.
I got him a new necklace with our initials engraved on it.
I cooked lunch for him and the cherry on top is the cake I baked it's his favourite, chocolate cake.
I  am a cook and rye always talks about me cooking for him but we never had time for it. So today, that is a special day, I decided to grant his desires.
I invited him over. He should be here in five minutes. Five long minutes.
I sat on the sofa and tried to kill time scrolling through Instagram.
Suddenly the doorbell rang and I immediately stood up.
I looked ta myself in the mirror one last time before opening the door.

Aria:" hey baby."

I said excitedly before kissing him.
His hands immediately reached my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck.

Rye:" hi. Why so dressed up?"

He asked referring to my dress.

Aria:" what do you mean? Don't you remember?"

He's joking it's just a joke.
I continued repeating trying to cknvince myself.

Rye:" is there something I should remember?"

In that moment heaven fell over me and trashed my fairytale. No thing's perfect.

Aria:" you're kidding right? "

I asked laughing nervously but his face answered for him. He didn't.

Aria:" I can't believe you forgot our first month anniversary. "

Rye:" shit!"

He exclaimed.

Aria:" shit! Well thank you. I thought it was important. At least to me it is. "

I said angrily.

Rye:" I'm sorry. I completely deleted it from my mind but it is important. I was just busy with the band. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you. "

Aria:" yes the band. You'll make it up to me. As always. It's just a month that we date but I heard that sentence so many times. This was so important I spent the whole morning cooking and you've forgotten it. "

I yelled feeling more disappointed than mad.

Rye:" I'm so sorry. I now I say that a lot but it's true. I promise I'll make it up to you. I-"

As he was starting to make promises I knew he wouldn't keep I stopped him.

Aria:" don't make promises you can't keep. Can you, please, leave me alone? I need to think. "

Rye:" I... Yes I'll go. I'll call you later. "

I nodded and he left the apartment.
I went to my bedroom and changed into a baggy sweater and a pair of shorts before throwing my hair into a messy bun.
Then I put back everything that was on the table and put the food in the fridge.
Maybe a peice of cake can make me feel better.
I got a peice of cake and sat down at the table to eat.
Just as I dug the fork the doorbell rang again. I wonder who it might be. I, honestly don't know how much time has gone since rye left but it's almost six.
I opened the door and rye appeared.

Aria:" what are you doing here?"

I asked annoyed.

Ryr:" I'm making it up to you. I want to show you that I'm truly sorry."

He said before lifting a couple of shopping bags.

Aria:" come in show me what you got."

I said letting him in and closing the door behind me.
I followed rye to the kitchen and he started talking with a wide smile on his face.

Rye:" I got ice cream, Ben and Jerry's. Your favourite. Marshmallows, chocolates, paper Town and I see you got cake."

As he showed me everything I couldn't hold back a smile.

Aria:" yes, I made it for you. It's your favourite."

Rye:"but before I want to give you this."

He said before handing me a small packet. I opened it and I saw a really pretty necklace with a heart.

Aria:" you didn't have to but thank you."

I said kissing his cheek before handing him his present.
He opened it and immediately put it on.

Rye:" thank you so much. I love it and I'm so sorry. You put so much effort and I forgot it. I hope you can forgive me."

Aria:" yes I can but just because you bought me ice cream."

I laughed getting two spoons.

Rye:" I love you"

He said before kissing my lips.

Aria:" I love you too."

I smiled.
