13 | Afraid

Eunjae's POV

"Hey Eunjae?"
Marks voice broke me out of my trance as I was making lunch. He was by the sink behind me and walked back to the kitchen island beside me.

I had thrown on a pair of high waisted black jean shorts, Still in my bikini because I was going to go surfing afterwards.

Most of the members were still outside but Mark, Jaehyun and Jungwoo had taken it upon themselves to help me so we were all working on making sandwiches on the giant kitchen island , I had made them all wrap towels around themselves to prevent getting the floor wet.

"I noticed that you have a tattoo on the top corner of your back" Mark mentioned while he cut slices of cheese making me freeze momentarily. Shit I forgot about that. Mark was standing beside me while the other two were standing across from us.

Jaehyun and Jungwoo were shocked at the new information and asked me to turn around, and I did.

Jaehyun read the cursive english words on the top of my right shoulder out loud making me a little nervous and I turned back around.

"Does it mean something?"
Jungwoo asked after Mark had translated it for him.

I furrowed my eyebrows pausing my actions, which was cutting up tomatoes and cucumbers laying the knife on the table and placing my hands on the counter thinking of how I was going to explain without actually explaining.

Taking a short breath and finding the words to say I spoke.

"My life has ....... been uh a little too 'hectic' since before I can remember and....... uh I guess I'm a little too 'accustomed' to it . So i guess ....... it means exactly what it says." I said using finger quotations in my small speech, furrowing my eyebrows and using hand gestures.

Wow great meaning. I mentally rolled my eyes at myself.

The three all furrowed their eyebrows not exactly understanding what I meant. I could feel my hands become slightly sweaty.

"but it's a long story and I don't really feel like bringing it up but I guess it's just a little saying to remind myself to always stay 'grounded' in 'chaotic' situations. So yeah..... I guess it does mean what it says"
I laughed lightly the three's eyebrows softened and their mouths opened slightly understanding it a little better.

They all nodded going back to what they were doing and I picked the knife back up.

"So.... do you guys have any tattoos or want to get any?"
I asked trying to take the topic off of me.

"Not really, I want to get one but I'm scared of a commitment like that" Mark laughed at himself replying to my question.

"I have an idea of what I want to get, But just not yet"
Jaehyun said placing different layers of ham and chicken onto the sandwiches.
