Chapter 4

"Are you freaking kidding me!? This is too far Evan! Are you even freaking sure you want to go!? I can stop the mission now because-"

"I am really sure," he assured with a smile.

"Oh yeah? Do you, I mean we, have enough money to book a flight!? I'm not going to take the chance dude! Something might happen to-"

"CAN YOU JUST CHILL FOR EVEN A MINUTE!?" I nearly jumped out of shock when he shouted. People started to glance in our direction but quickly turned away. "Look, I'm sorry but...you were the one who insisted of helping me and now you're backing out?"

I looked in his eyes and he's giving me those looks where they say 'Don't give up yet. Please?'. I looked away before replying, "Fine, we're going. Although, there's a catch. I would have to ask my mom for permission first and my mom is super strict when it comes to travelling..."

"Of course you can go!" my mom said with a loud boom.

"Mom, are you okay? That's like more than 11,000 miles! We're in London and that's New Zealand! You better be kidding me!" I groaned.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me to whisper in my ear, "He's cute okay? Look at the bright side! He might be your future husband! AND, I'll pay for everything! Don't worry!" I gave her a shocked look and she just stared at Evan dreamily who was just waiting quitely on the couch. Don't tell me my mom is in love with Evan?

"Oh dear, I'm not in love with him. I just think that both of you look cute and-"

"Mom, we're going there for-"

"Hey Kaitlyn, I might have to go now if you don't mind?" he asked, totally interrupting what I was going to say. Although, it sounds like he did it intentionally...

Maybe he wants to keep this as a secret?

"Oh no dear! It's totally okay with us!" my mom responded and Evan stood up. "But wait, I forgot to tell! She's going with you," my mom shouted with a bright smile. My eyes almost bulge out of my eye sockets and Evan was obviously trying to hide his excitement.

"Okay then. I'll see you tomorrow Kaitlyn," he said with a smirk. He gave me those looks that said something like 'No one can resist my charm I see'. I rolled my eyes and glared at him. Then, he left.

"Let's get ready for dinner!" my mom almost jumped in enthusiasm and I can't help but to do a face palm. I'm too lazy to pack, ughhh!

"Anna...I have bad news....I'm going to another country," I speaked through the phone.

"Oh that's great! I always wanted to experience being apart from my best friend," she said through the line.

"Oh really? Well...uh...I'm glad to know that?" I replied in 'fake' disappointment.

"I'm just kidding! I'll miss you so much! Where are you going?"

"New Zealand," I groaned.

"NEW FREAKING ZEALAND!? THAT'S TOO FAR!" I put my phone away from my ear and rubbed my ears in pain. I felt like my eardrums were going to burst soon. "Although, I do want to go there! Omg! Don't forget to call me every night okay? Let's have a chat or maybe we can skype every afternoon!"

"Anna, I'm not going to live there forever. It must be just around 3 to 4 days, okay?" I assured her.

"Oh, okay then! Have fun by the way! Wait, when are you going there?"

"I'm not sure...I think I'm going to find out tomorrow."

'Well then, goodnight! Am I going to see you tomorrow?"
