What it feels like to drown
How your lungs burn
How your heart races
How you're head clears

Mine do every time I breathe
I know the feeling of a racing heart
Mine does every time I leave my room
I know the feeling of a clear mind
I remember from when I almost died
On my bathroom floor
Alone feeling the same way
I had everyday for months
Then my world stopped
And for a while
I wasn't scared
I wasn't drowningDrowning in water
Seems easier
Than drowning on land
Where everyone is around
You're still there
But inside
You're fighting to keep afloat-what drowning feels like
