"I'm going to kill them, I won't allow another man to ever hurt you again. I will do anything in my power to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again I promise you" my brother Alex roared. I was already prepared for this so I didn't flinch not one bit. Unlike my mother and best friend who looked scared shitless.
"Oh shut up you big teddy bear, I'm fine don't worry about it" I replied without actually caring about him actually being mad. "No tell me where to find him, I'm going to straight up murder him!" I get up and playfully punched my older brother on the shoulder passing him to go to the cabinet and get myself some snacks.
"Our snacks!" I looked back at Lupe. "What snacks?" My mom asked.
"Well you see Ms.Mommy we just got our usual cravings. And plus we earned it, we worked so hard at practice we deserved just a few munchies" Lupe told my mom with a cute innocent look on her face.
"C''mon we're going to go get the stuff want to come help?" I asked both my my mom and brother. They agreed, and with that we headed out to the door and started to unload the stuff from the car.
After about fifteen minutes we finally got all the stuff into the house.
"Ok it's time to feast" Lupe says.
I open a bag of chips and start enjoying the rest of my night.
Lupe also began to eat up all of our munchies we had bought. She was eating so much and I was surprised. "Hey are you ok?" I asked very concerned for my best friend. She replied with a "yea I'm fine". I stop and face her, at this point we are the only ones in the room, I ask her once again with a more serious voice "are you sure you're ok?". She turns to face me and shakes her head "No I'm not ok" she says looking down at her hands.
"Why what happened" I immediately ask, she just looks at me and breaks down in tears.
"Lupe please tell me what happened, why are you crying?" I can't stand to see my bestie cry and it just breaks my heart.
"I realized that I have such an amazing bestie who's always there for me and I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you when you needed me the most I'm so sorry, after what your brother said I was just thinking about how I should've been a better friend and how I should've prevented that from happening" she said in between sobs.
"Please stop crying you're going to make me cry, that wasn't your fault and you can't keep blaming yourself for what happened!" I said while my eyes began to water.
