Chapter 11

"I can smell them but I can't see them" I tell her.
I hear a growl coming from behind us and Lupe squeezing my arm means she heard it too. We both turn around to face the direction the growl came from and standing a few feet away from us is a wolf with brown fur. The wolf take a step towards us, I instinctively take a small step sideways putting myself in front of Lupe, with a low growl escaping my lips. Just as I do that other wolves emerge from behind the trees. "How are we going to get out of this?" Lupe whispers into my ear. "I think we're gonna have to shift" I say back. "But I like this dress" she whines. This girl can't take anything serious.
"Why are two beautiful ladies like yourselves out in the woods this late?" We hear a voice say. I shift my gaze to the guy who had just spoken, he was in his human form. "That's none of your concern" I reply with sass in my voice. "Well seeing as how your two are in our of the woods it is my concern" he says sounding annoyed.
"Oh please we've been walking these woods since we were young" Lupe tells him. "Oh is that so?" He says with a smirk on his face. "We'll just take our leave now, have a nice night" I say pulling Lupe so we can leave.
"Just wait one second, we were hoping to have some fun with you ladies seeing as you are dressed for the occasion" he says with a look that disgusted me. "No thank you were really should be heading back now" I tell him. "Wouldn't you just consider it?" he asks, "No!" and as I say that I hear growls behind us. I turn to Lupe and mouth the word RUN. Just then we hear that same guy say "get them!"
We take off running, these freaking heels won't let us get very far. "Lupe" I mind link her, "yea" she replies. "We're gonna have to look for a safe location" I tell her "I think we walked too far and into some other packs territory" she says "you think" I say kind of laughing to myself.
I see a light up ahead "Lupe-"
"yea I see it too, let's go" and off we go, this adrenaline making us go faster and faster.
"Don't think you can outrun us!" That man screams from behind us, followed by growls from the rest of his crew.
"Oh trust me we're wayyyy faster than you and your goons" Lupe screams back at him.
Just then I see a large grey wolf lung at us from the side. "Move!" I yell pushing Lupe out the way taking the hit myself. We roll around, the wolf snapping at me trying to get my neck. But I'm too quick for him and in seconds I hit his pressure point and he's out like a light. I get up and run towards Lupe, "c'mon let's go we're almost there just a few more yards" I tell her. She gets up and we continue to run. As we get closer we see that it's a huge mansion with guards surrounding it. "Help!" Lupe yells. "Help we're being chased!" She yells again. The guards turn to look at us and then look at the wolves chasing behind us. One of the guards steps closer probably thinking we're rogues that's why we're being chased.
We get closer and closer until we are only about ten feet away from the first ring of guards who are already ready to pounce.

***Unknown persons POV***
I step out for a second to get some air, when one of our men mind links me. "Sir there are two women running towards the pack house's first security ring, they're being chased by Ricko and his men" he informed me. That man never stops looking for victims in the woods, how disgusting, I think to myself. "Let those women through and tell Ricko to get lost" I tell him.

*** Back to Jasmins POV***
       "Lupe c'mon we're close!" I tell her
"Hopefully they let us through" she says, I hope so too i say to myself.
         We reach the guards and they let us through, when the guy chasing us sees this he stops one of the guards speaks up and tells him to get lost. And just like that they turn around and walk back into the woods. But not before having the last word "I'll be sure to get you two some day and then I'll have my way with you" he says with a disgusting grin on that ugly scarred up face of his, then he disappears into the darkness.
         I hear Lupe sigh a sigh of relief, "we made it" she says. "Yea thankfully" I say with a little smile.
        "Our superior wants to see you two" we hear a voice and it's the guard who had spoken earlier. "Ok" Lupe replies. "Lupe what are you doing?"  I mind link her, "they just saved us we have to at least thank them" she tells me with this look on her face telling me to just go along with it.
"How do you know it's safe for us to do that?" I say " You don't" she says as she follows the guard.
