As we enter the building we don't hear anything. But I sure as hell can smell all the guests. Ok that kind of sounded creepy. I swear it wasn't meant to be creepy. Just that we have an amazing sense of smell as well as sight and hearing just to name a few.
Where's the light switch???
Suddenly the lights come on and all of our friends scream "surprise" in unison. Was kind of expecting that but still gets us every time.
We're bombarded by our friends each trying to congratulate us and give us their presents. I love all my friends so much. After all of that is done lipa and I take the microphones to give our speech.
"Thank you all for being here to celebrate with my bestie and I this very special day. We hope you guys enjoy yourselves and have lots of fun because that's what we're here for" I say with a huge smile on my face
"Now lets get this party started!!!!!!!" Lupe yells as the DJ begins to blast the music.
This is going to but fun. I'm one hundred percent certain this is going to be a night we won't forget.
The rest of the night was full of dancing, blasting loud music, playing random games and drinking lots and lots of drinking.
"Lupe!!!" I yell among the crowd. "Have any of you seen Lupe?" I ask some of the guys standing near the doorway. "We saw her walk into the kitchen" one of them replies. "Thanks" and with that I'm off to find this girl.
"Lupe?" I turn my head left the right and spot her getting a drink from the fridge. "There you are you fucking bitch, I've been looking for you all over the place" she turns to me and smiles "I know I was just having a little bit of fun" she says emphasizing the word FUN.
Oh this naughty naughty girl
"Come with me I was just about to take a walk to go get some fresh air" I tell her. "Sure let's go, I could really use some" she says with a smirk on her face. This girl I think to myself while rolling my eyes.
We push through the people and get out the house and head towards the woods that are all too familiar to us. A nice calming walk through this familiar path is just what we need to finally let the fact that we're old sink in.
As we are walking we make jokes and talk about past memories from when we were younger.
"This is great" Lupe says, " what is?" I question. "This and everything, we live happy lives we have loving family's and we have each other what else could we want?" "You're right" I tell her.
"I wouldn't trade this for anything in the world" I add.
