"Damn you! Don't remind me I'm a failure."

"You're not a failure. You're just dumb."

"Thanks that sure helps!"

" You're welcome."

"I wasn't thanking you! I was being sarcastic!"

An angry brunette pouted towards her friend while her eyes were down casted onto the paper in her hands. She was shorter Then him and also seem to have a even shorter temper. Her male friend was lanky and tall with piercings. He looked over her papers with a grimace and couldn't help but sigh.

"You're fine. You're only failing Spanish."

She looked at him in a shock which soon turned into bitterness. Glaring at him, her lips tighten into a fine line.

"Easy for you to say! You're in the advanced classes while I'm in the modern average classes!"

"What are you even talking about? You're in honor classes."

"There are three classes one is for the struggling kids that need extra help. The other is for the kids that understand the work but can't handle anything of higher level. Then there is you're class, the 'I'm so higher than you that you're not worthy to breath my air' type. I mean the schools try to sugar code it with pretty and fancy words so no bodies feelings get hurt but I will not fall for their bull."

The girl said with such confidence that if you didn't know her personally, you'd feel obligated to believe her. To be fair she does have a way with words and is good at manipulating her words in a way that makes people more interested in her. Not that she really cares about using her skills. Wasted talent really. If only she wasn't so-

"crazy."

"huh?"

"Did you hear about that escape convict that stole a truck. Well he was last spotted around our town. Though I don't think he'll make it that far. With such a small town the police will have him in cuffs in a few hours at most."

'Ding' "Got to go, my mother is asking for me home. See you later."

"See you later then, bear-bear."

Ending that conversation, he begins his walk home trailing along the dirt road away from his friend's house.
His home was only a mile away from hers and if he started walking now then he will get home before sun down.

Looking at the forests that surround the dirt road he felt an overbearing feeling of emptiness that made the inside of his chest to tighten and make him uncomfortable. It's to silent.

'silence can sometimes bring great thoughts.'

'what do you even mean? This silence is suffocating.'

'to meditate you need silence.'

'Since when are we-'

Bringing out his phone he clicked on the third playlist and plugged into his phone. The music drowned out any thoughts within his head and lulled him into a peaceful trance like state.

With his body going on autopilot and his eye's half closed. He didn't even notice a person gaining speed and rushing at him from behind.

When the person reached him, he pulled out the rock from behind his back and then slammed it into the distracted teens head.
