{author note first: so my sis got done with chemo for her leukemia, but her immune system isn't back yet so she's still fragile, meaning sickness can easily kill her. she woke up this morning having the feeling to throw up, had a headache, sore throat, and shaking like crazy, so my mom took her to the emergency room. she texted us later this night saying that her port (that's a big thing that's keeping her alive at the moment) failed and isn't working. she also told us that her veins in her hand are blowing, so i'm currently crying while writing this, so enjoy.}

will was sitting in a patch of sunflowers, gazing at the painted sunset. will looked down at his sketchbook sitting in his lap, then turned his attention back to the sunset.
will tapped his head lightly with the eraser of his pencil, lost of creativity.
"damn it" he mumbled. will always knew what to draw, hell he was the best artist in hawkins.
will scanned the pink/purple/and yellow sky and then to the main show, the sun itself. the sun..sun..his sun.
will smiled softly and went at it, tracing delicate lines ever so carefully until he got the right shape he wanted. he continued, looking back at the sunset every few seconds, until he was finished.
will drew a picture of his sun..mike wheeler.
"that's amazing" will flinched and swung around, seeing a smiling mike behind him. will blushed and looked down at his drawing. mike seated himself down beside will and took the sketchbook to get a better view.
"will i hope you know how damn talented you are" all will could do was hide his face in his hands. he was wearing one of the many sweaters mike has given him. it was a little big so it devoured will, covering his small hands, and almost his entire face.
mike removed will's hands from his face and smiled his beautiful smile at little william.
"don't cover your face, it's gorgeous" fuck. will fell deeper in love. will just stared at mike, completely forgetting he was at first.
mike loved absolutely everything about will. from his chocolate brown eyes, to his cute ass bowl cut, (which mike almost always plays with.) mike loved will's personality, how perfect he was, how sweet he is, not letting negativity get to him, he's so strong and powerful and mike adored him for it.
"will..will? william? william byers?" will kept hearing his name but couldn't quite put his finger on who since he was so deep in his "mike trance"
mike sighed and clapped his hands in front of will's face, causing will to jump back and grip onto the grass. mike snickered and turned his attention to what now is, the starry sky then back to will.
"it's really beautiful.." mike couldn't take his eyes off of will, who was staring at the stars, smiling.
"yeah it really is, finally something good about hawk-" will was cut off quickly by mike.
"no i mean..." will turned his attention to mike, raising an eyebrow at him. "i mean you..your beautiful." mike bit his lip and slowly started to smile at the stunned boy, but will quickly wrapped mike in a tight, warm embrace.
mike hugged back, really not wanting the moment to end, so he wouldn't let it. when will pulled away, mike pulled him into his lap and will wrapped his arms around mike's neck.
"mike what are doing" will giggled as mike was playing with will's hair (not surprised? me neither). "hangin with my favorite boy" will silently awed in his head at how adorable mike was.
will eventually yawned and slowly started to close his eyes, but mike quickly noticed this. he reached his hand and set it on the back of will's head, slowly bringing his head down to his shoulder. will snuggled his face into mike's neck as mike kissed the top of will's head.
when mike felt like will was asleep, which he wasnt. mike whispered those words will was waiting to hear for his whole life.
"i love you william byers, it's always been you."
mike felt a smile from will on his neck, and slowly stood up with will still tightly secured in his arms, and walked back up to the byers house.
