So I have a (sometimes annoying) 10 y/o little brother. And he was riding his bike around the neighborhood. Mind you I wasn't there when it happened, but he rode too fast and tried to stop by planting his feet on the ground. But in doing so his feet got stuck in between the chains. As luck would have it, my bro was able to get home with the bike.
By the time he got home he shouted for mom. At this point I heard it and stopped whatever I was doing and asked what was going on.
My bro told me all that and then he said that he needs to be hospitalized (and x-rayed). So my parents took him in the car and got ready to take him to the hospital. I, being the scared and worried older brother, stayed behind so that I could keep an eye on my grandma and the dogs. I played a bit of piano and then I spent the rest of my time watching YouTube. Skip to a few hours later and I'm writing all this down because I want everyone to know what happened. And here's the scary thing. I had something similar like this happen to me 5 years ago.
I rode my bike too fast and I hit a side window of a parked car. P A R K E D. I stumbled over and slide on the pavement, causing my knuckles to bleed a whole fucking ton. My mom noticed and immediately took me back home. I kept telling her I was fine, but it was clear I was not. The pain didn't kick in until we got the stuff to help me and let me tell you it fucking hurt. Piece of good advice and don't hurt yourself when you're biking too fast.
