Chapter 4

Veronica walked towards the balcony and saw a fully decorated table with rose petals all over the floor and a candle on the table. Veronica saw her favourite Thai food been served on the table. It's like someone wants to hype up a romantic mood that night. Then, she turned around when she realised the light has been turned on and it was Kabir who turn on the light.

"I was trying to make the light be a bit romantic for us." smiled Kabir while walking towards Veronica.

"Where were you just now ?" asked Veronica while checking out how handsome was Kabir in a red shirt that she bought for him last year. Kabir didn't answer her questions. Instead, he grabbed Veronica's hands and pulled her closer to him. He put Veronica's hands on his shoulder and encircles his hands on her waist.

"Happy anniversary, baby." whispered Kabir on Veronica's ear. Veronica was a bit speechless as she forgotten it again.

"I..." said Veronica as she slowly pull herself away from Kabir's embrace.

"You've forgot it again ?"

"I'm sorry, Kabir."

"It's okay, baby. Don't worry. Even I almost forget it and..."

"But every year..."

"Shhhh...it's fine. Anyways, happy six years anniversary for us." smiled Kabir. He hugged Veronica and she replied it with a tight hug before she said, "6 years, 72 months, 312 weeks, 2190 days..." and Kabir continues her words, " 52625 hours and 3153600 seconds..."

They tightly hugged each other for a few seconds before they pulled away.

"I love you, Kabir."

"I love you too, Veronica." said Kabir before he give a peck on Veronica'a lips and continued, "God, you're making me do some Maths tonight huh..."

Veronica smiled and said, " I can't believe it has been another year for us, sweetheart."

"Yup, the time we've been together has been amazing." replied Kabir.

"Thank you for always be there for me. I don't want anyone else in my life..." said Veronica with a thought on what her mother asked her to do. She will never wants anyone else besides Kabir. Even though she never told anyone else about her relationship with Kabir, it doesn't means that she's taking her relationship with Kabir for granted.

"That was so sweet, baby. I can't handle it anymore." blushed Kabir like a girl. Veronica laughed looking at how cute Kabir was before both of them ready to have their dinner together. They had a great time during the dinner and after they finished it, Veronica helped Kabir wash the dishes and clean up everything.

"Did you cook all the foods ?" asked Veronica before she take a sip of a glass of red wine.

"Actually, I bought it from a Thai restaurants nearby." answered Kabir. Veronica just nodded her head.

"Anyways, how's your meet up with Ma ?" asked Kabir while took a sip of wine from Veronica's glass.

"Let's not talk about it."

"Why ?"

"Kabir, please. I don't want to talk about it, okay." said Veronica as she walked towards the hall. She sits in the sofa and starts to be serious. She don't understands why Kabir need to mention about her mother.

"Hey, I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't asks but I just want to know, you know..."

"You know I don't like to talk about her, aren't you ?"

"Okay, baby. I'm sorry but can I say something ?"

"What ?"

"I know she might not understands you, she might not be a good mother for you but whatever it is, she's still your one and only mother, Veronica. Understands ?" said Kabir, holds Veronica hands, ensuring she understand what he's trying to say to her.
