Today was supposed to be a normal shift. A normal day. But life at Holby threw Iain and Ruby a different way.

They arrived to a barn, with a man who had barbed wire in his leg. The man who was called Mark spoke up.

"They're coming!"

Iain and Ruby turned around to see a white van pull up. It was the bailiffs. Mark pulled the barbed wire out of his leg much to Ruby and Iain's dismay and ran into his house. They soon followed. They had no idea what was about to happen.

Mark was now holding a gun.

A gun.

"Woah, Easy" Iain spoke, trying to diffuse the situation.

"This is my house!" Mark exclaimed.

Iain sighed, "so you said, put the gun down"

"Mark stop!" His wife, Tilly spoke

"This is everything I've got!" Mark shouted.

"We need to call this in" Ruby fretted.

"What?, with a gun in his hand" Iain replied.

"Mark stop!" Tilly warned.

Iain sighed, "we need to get your leg checked, put the gun down"

"You're part of it!" Mark accused.

"We're about to have a baby, stop!" Tilly shouted.

"No!" Shouted Mark as he fired his gun. He gave a warning shot, and fired twice. The second time it hit one of the bailiffs.

"Mark we need to check your leg!"

"I said nobody moves!" Mark shouted. Before firing again.

"What are you going to risk next? Your wife? Your baby?!"

Iain was cut off by Ruby calling control.

"Drop it!" Seethed Mark, and Ruby did exactly that. She was absolutely terrified.

"Put it down please" Ruby sobbed

"He's going to die" Tilly cried.

"Ruby, don't worry it's empty" Iain spoke

"Iain!" Ruby cried.

"Time to stop, there are no more bullets left" Iain spoke going closer to Mark.

"You want to test that?!" Mark grunted.

"Iain don't be stupid!" Ruby cried

"You're not going to shoot me!" Iain spoke.

Iain sighed, "once was an accident but to kill a man in cold blood"

Mark fell to the floor

Iain checked the magazine, there was one bullet left.
