That day was the day. When I thought my heart felt like it ripped to shreds like thin paper. I was on my knees. My two hands palmed on the soil as teardrops plummeted to the ground. The cotton clouds textured in grey and white hovered over the woods. The breeze converted into a howling wind, whirling the rich green leaves, detaching them from the petioles to travel somewhere you never know.

I stood up and dashed through the thick woods trying to find him. The branches and the small sticks crunched. Fragments of soil rolled down as mini avalanches as my shoes left. I was dumb. I had forgotten about the camping site and went in too deep to find my dog. A Welsh corgi. I should've left some hints.

My dog nowhere to be found, I sat on a nearby boulder. Hopelessness aroused my whole mindset. All of a sudden, I sensed droplet. Looking up into the dull sky, I realized why the clouds were like that. It was a preparation for precipitation. Shivers ran down my spine. Goosebumps rose on my skin. My face flushed red. The rain showered. As if it was a watering can that watered the plants for them to live.

It felt nice and I was oddly in comfort, though my whole body was drenched. I sighed, knowing that I was going to get sick soon. My friends must be worried about me. Even the sun was covered, I could tell that it was getting darker. The sun will set, setting an apricot glow filtering the area.

Out of nowhere, a bark echoed. I stiffed. Another bark. Without hesitation, I called out for my dog. "D/n (dog name)!". I cried out and did multiple times. The familiar sound drew closer and I turned around to see a happy looking dog panting toward me. No delay, I hugged him dearly. I ruffled him and almost scolded him. Determination in me said that I wasn't going to lose him.

D/n's tail wagged hectically and jogged away from me. He signaled me to follow him. Curiosity got the best of me and I followed.

By the time, it was already close to darkness and it was seriously hard to perceive anything that I could almost depend on my hearing skills to navigate. As I strolled forward carefully, a warehouse was in sight. I stopped my track and hid behind a tree because I saw a guy standing at the porch of his home, I guess. My dog sprinted towards the guy and placed his paws on his legs, waggling his tail. He bent down and petted my dogs head.

"Where did you go?", His voice was heard, probably speaking to my dog. I have to admit he seemed like a nice guy. Building up the courage, I stood out from my hiding spot. I caught the person's attention. He had no expressions on his face and just stared at me. I was beginning to think he was planning some murder plots for me.

"What are you doing out there alone?", He asked softly. I scratched the nape of my neck and answered, "Um I kind of got lost...".

"Who are you talking to Junho?", Someone called him. A woman in her mid-thirties, quite chubby, appeared and noticed me. My drenched self. "My goodness, you need new clothes, young lady!", The woman said in shock. Her body maneuvered toward me and pushed me into the house.

"You sit here while I try and rummage some clothes for you", She demanded and went upstairs. The stairs made awful creaking noises you usually hear in horror movies. I viewed my surroundings. The build was majorly made out of oak wood. They didn't use electricity but instead used candles and the fireplace as a source of light. Even heat. I didn't realize that I was still shivering from my wet clothes. Moving closer to the fireplace, I squatted down and rubbed the palms of my hands together. It was indeed toasty.

"Here"

I jolted and turned around. It was that Juhno guy. In his hands, was a pile of clothing with a towel on top. I immediately thanked him. At that moment, I caught a glimpse of him. Dang, he was good looking. I admit. His jawline is wow and his nose though. But looks don't determine if you're a good person.
