"Promises that are not spoken wholeheartedly should be canceled immediately"

Chapter 6

Sean was waiting anxiously. Mean was always late but he never broke his promise. Her parents had just arrived from Paris and this would be the first time they would gather to discuss preparations for their grand wedding which was scheduled to be held in eight months.

She tried to look as perfect as possible but nevertheless began to get nervous. Mean was almost an hour late from the promised time but there was no news from Mean. Sean sat by the window waiting anxiously.

A bright red car was seen entering the main gate of the house. Sean almost jumped from her seat, forgetting she was pretending to be paralyzed.

T/N: Now, how many of you saw this coming? I left a clue in one of the chapters!!

Nobody knew about this - only her family, her trusted servants in the house and their family doctor. They knew that Sean had recovered years ago. She could walk normally as usual. The doctor's diagnosis turned out to be wrong and Sean's feet were perfectly fine.

But then she begged her parents and her doctor to keep it a secret especially from Mean. She told them how she was scared to lose Mean when he would know that she had recovered. What he had from Mean was only the man's responsibility towards her and it was all because of her paralyzed legs.

If her legs were no longer paralyzed then there would be nothing to tie him to Mean. The man would definitely leave her. Sean is willing to sit in a wheelchair until she was tied to him in a wedding. After they are officially bound hand and she had Mean for herself legitimately, she planned to pretend to heal gradually and  return to normalcy. Mean would never be suspicious. She had pretended to be paralyzed for so long that she looked very much convincing.

She glanced at Mean who had just stepped out of the car and as usual her heart went flowery seeing the handsome man. The man was going to be her husband. She would have him soon. She just needed to be patient.

Mean stepped closer to the stairs of the house with a tired expression. Today he had a lot to do and all he wanted  was to go to the Garden Cafe and wait for Plan who never came again after the kiss.

Talking about the kiss...hmm...

Mean cursed himself because he could not stop himself from kissing Plan. It was he who made Plan avoid him since that day. And now he couldn't anything. All he could do was wait and it turned out that waiting was not good, not at all good.

Because his mind was so occupied with Plan throughout the day, he forgot about his appointment with Sean's parents who just returned from Paris. He might have completely forgotten and would not have even remembered had he not accidentally glanced at his cellphone which lay just like a passenger next to him  and realized that his cellphone was blinking with dozens of messages from Sean.

Sean's wheelchair appeared at the door and the man greeted him in a happy and worried smile.

"You did not reply to my message."

Sean said anxiously hugging Mean when the man approached and bent half to kiss her forehead. "I was afraid that you won't come. Why?"

"Sorry for being late. Work!"

Mean muttered flatly. "Where are your parents?"
