I was just standing there, unable to move or process what was going on. All I could hear is Leah's name in an echo, and all I can see was Talen saying inaudible words. Seeing I was lost in my thoughts, he picked me up and started walking in a hurry with the Dr. Jennings.

My world is technically shattering to a million pieces. People think opinions, speak words, walk pathways, and get lost in adventures but most people get sad because they can't balance out the good times and bad times. I hate to say it, I know I'm one of those people. I know it's stupid, but it's just something so inevitable for me.

Talen set me down on a chair after I don't even know how long and crouched in front of me, "Do you want me to stay? Or do you want me to get anything for you?" I didn't answer, just stayed quiet while he brought his hand up to my cheek, his thumb rubbing it back and forth. "Alright then, I'll just wait with you," he said as he took a seat beside me, his eyes never leaving mine.

We waited for maybe a couple of hours to get some news of what was happening; she started to wake up a little, and in the process, she just didn't react as planned. At least, that's what I was told by Talen when I woke up from my nap.

"So everything is alright? Can I go see her?" I asked, hopeful to be able to see something good for once.

"No," Talen looked at the ground and back up to my eyes, " not yet, but soon."His eyes seemed teary, like something bad happened. He stood up, knowing I was onto him, took my hand and started guiding me towards the kids' play room.

When I entered the room, I spotted little Leah with a couple of newly made friends. She saw me and she had, what looked like, the widest smile I have ever seen. She jumped in my arms and I straightened up to twirl her in the air. "You came back! I thought I lost my sister, but you came back!"

Her bright green and grey eyes sparkled as she was so happy, "I came back, and I'll be back many more times because I work here with the bum right there." I pointed to Talen in pretend disgust.

She came closer to me and signaled me to come close for a secret so I bent down to her level, "Is he your boyfriend? He's kind of cute, Tee, I approve." Her attempt to whisper was a fail, which was kind of funny and adorable at the same time.

"Is my new nickname Tee? Because I'm not very good at finding nicknames, lovely." I chuckled. Even if she's pretty sick, she doesn't seem to want any pity... Just a normal life, which isn't always the best thing, but what would I know? I don't have a normal life.

"Stop avoiding the question," she said waiving her arms trying to get me to answer her, " Is he?"

Talen leaned closer to Leah, " It's not there yet, but soon." He winked at her and she jumped in my arms.

I picked her up, and this time she really whispered, "I think he likes you, Tee. Don't mess it up!"

"Alright, princess." I put her down, and while she went back to her friends, I whispered something to Talen, "Get it?"

He nodded, "Let's do it."

He smiled widely, and started the plan. He went across the room to talk to little kids. I ran behind Leah, picked her up, ran closer to Talen and threw her at him. She screeched really loudly at the sudden surprise, but he still caught her. "Jeepers mister, you're really strong."

We all laughed knowing that line came from Hercules. It was Talen's favorite movie when he was younger,  "Is that your favorite movie, Leah?"

"Yeah! Jeepers is my favorite word, too!" She paused, "Actually, I'm not sure... It's jeepers or silly." She chuckled lightly. Wow, these two have so much in common.

"I think we just might be best friends because the same goes for me," Talen winked at her and she clapped her hands in excitement, he turned to the rest of the kids "but Terra and I are going to make you guys some cake."

They all cheered and pushed us out of the room to get their cake faster, then all waved goodbye. We got in the kitchen, prepared all the ingredients and started putting it all together. To make sure it was good, I tasted the batter while Talen just put some all over my face Indian style.

"Thanks, I know I look great with chocolate cake batter on my face." I smiled sarcastically.

He walked closer to me, "Hey, Terra," he cupped my face in his hands, "You have some cake on your face, let me get that for you." He kissed my forehead, then my cheeks, then my nose. He grinned, "That's better."

"Hey, Talen. You have some chocolate on your lips, let me get that for you." I wiped the chocolate off with a napkin, "There you go." I smiled, then laughed with him.

"You just love teasing me, huh?"

"Yeah, a lot."

He leaned closer, closing the gap between us, "Well, I didn't appreciate that very much."

"Then why don't you fix that?"

He pressed his forehead against mine, "I guess I should." He lifted my chin up and kissed me, "Don't ever tease me again, okay?"

"I'm sorry, can't do that." I turned around in his arms, not wanting to leave his grip, picked up the cake and put it in the oven.

We waited for the cake to be ready for 20 minutes, talking and catching up on lost time. We then put the white vanilla frosting on the cake and signed our names in blue frosting as if it were a piece of art. We brought it to the kids and they all cheered happily, waiting in line for their piece. We all ate and cleaned the tables as they slowly started to go back to the McDonalds look-a-like playground. They must've put a lot of money to make these kids happy; a corner for the kids that like stories, a corner to play ball, and the rest of the room to do crafts.

All of a sudden, I hear one of the children fall and cry. Talen and I run to see Leah pouting beside the little boy, "Leah, what happened?"

She turned around, put her arm in the air and yelled "He said he liked me and that I was pretty, so I slapped him!"

We both tried not to laugh, I nodded for Talen to take care of the poor boy, "That's not a reason to slap the guy, he must be heartbroken."

"But, Tee, he has cooties!" She hugged me, scared of the boy who likes her.

I laughed again,"It's okay, he doesn't want to hurt you. He just wants to be your prince, and you his princess."
