There are parts in some chapters that might get a little like personal in the sense of cutting and suicidal thoughts so yeah just a warning.

We walked into the hospital, you could feel the tense vibes as soon as you walk in but all you can do is try to imagine what they're going through; you don't know if they're the ones that are sick or if they're waiting for news or waiting for visiting hours, you don't know anything, all you know is that it isn't all good.

My eyes scanned the room, trying to think of what they're doing here based on their body language. There's a woman slouching in her chair in the corner of the waiting room, she seemed exhausted but her worry for someone wouldn't allow her to sleep. Maybe a husband? Daughter? Son? I'll never know, I just sometimes wish I could know, but some things are meant to stay a mystery. They're meant to stay that way so we constantly have something to think about, something to inspire us to be better than we already are.

Then I laid my eyes on a boy, maybe fourteen years old, he was with his mother. She held his hand that was held in a fist. He was tense, maybe even afraid? I saw scars on his left arm, he cuts himself.

Why do people cut themselves? I don't really know. Maybe they feel like the pain they're living is just a nightmare so they bleed to know they're alive, to know this isn't a simple bad dream but that this is reality. Or maybe they feel that the pain of cutting themselves is less painful than whatever they've been through. I don't know, all I know is that it isn't fair to yourself when you do such harm. You're letting the pain win, when you should use the situation to your advantage to make you stronger.

"Terra?" Talen asked softly, trying not to disrupt me from my thoughts, "You alright?"

He was looking back from me to a girl with long black hair in the corner, I recognized her familiar dark brown eyes. "Zoe?" My voice cracked at the end. What was she doing here? My eyes scanned her body once, twice, three times looking for any bruises or cuts but nothing.

Her head snapped up, staring at Talen and I. Her eyes were red, has she been crying? No, if she was only crying she would've visited me in the hospital, so what can it be? She looked at us in fear, "Who are you?"

Talen and I looked at each other then back at Zoe and walked up to see her, "What do you mean? We've been friends since forever."

When you looked in her eyes you would think that she was a scared lost child. Even if she was lost and afraid before, this was different; she didn't look like the girl I used to know. "I um... I think you made a mistake miss."

I felt my eyes tearing up. How did she lose her memory? She didn't have the best of life I agree, but that's what made her the improved person she was now. She was really lost now, lost in her own body pulled into the back of her mind. I don't get it, though, I haven't heard from her in a while and when I finally see her she's destroyed and faded into a whole new and unknown world.

I forgot Talen was with me until he squeezed my hand that was still in his and, knowing I needed comforting, pulled me in a tight hug letting myself escape quiet and light sobs in his shirt. "Shh," he said hushing me, "She'll remember you, she'll be fine and so will you. It'll be okay."

His attempts at comforting me were slightly working but my eyes were still red from the little while of crying. "Thanks," I said looking down at my feet, embarrassed that I just cried in front of dozens of people.

Talen lifted my head so our eyes can meet and smiled weakly, "I really mean it, well you're not the type of girl you just forget in a couple of days." He winked.

"Shut up," I smiled faintly and let out a small laugh.

I heard fast paced steps and then someone yelling my name, it's Brianna and Leah's doctor, "Terra!? I heard you were here, there's been a problem with your sister."

I couldn't move, all I could do was stare at him.
