A Royal Surprise

Chapter 12

Marinette's POV Tuesday

"Thanks for cheering me up, guys!" I exclaim.
"That's what little brothers are for." Mathew replies.
"We better get going to the hotel. The class is waiting for us." Alya states.
"Crap, I'm late for school! Bye, guys!" Mathew yells as he runs back inside the palace.
"Brother like sister." Alya says shaking her head.
"We better go." Ashton says. Alya and I nod in agreement. We go get in the car and head to the hotel our class is staying in.

------------Miraculous time skip-------------

When we get inside everyone is waiting in the lobby.
"Sorry, we're late again." I state, getting everyone's attention.
"It's fine, Marinette. Okay, class today we're going to the Chaoyang Park or the Sun Park!" Mrs. Bustier announces.
"I love the Sun Park! Every time I visit, Mathew and I would always go!" I tell Alya.
"Who's Mathew?" Nino asks.
"My umm friend." I answer. Please believe me!
"Just your friend?" Nino asks. Is he implying that we're more than friends? He's my brother gross!
"Yes, we're just friends!" I proclaim.
"If you say so." Nino replies. I roll my eyes.
"The bus is parked outside so let's go everyone!" Mrs. Bustier says as we all head outside. Adrien and Nino ride with us just like yesterday.
Ashton starts the car and we follow behind the bus.
"What's there to do at this park?" Adrien asks.
"You can rent boats and bikes. Explore the gardens and play on the man made beach." I state.
"Sounds kinda boring." Nino states.
"Shut up." Alya says hitting on the shoulder.
"Then what do you want to do, Nino?" I ask.
"We could ditch and have a pool party at the hotel." Adrien responds.
"That sounds way better then going to a park!" Ashton exclaims.
"I'm with the boys, Marinette!" Alya states.
"Fine. But if we get caught I'm blaming Nino." I answer.
"Deal!" Nino relies.
"The hotel it is." Ashton says as he starts driving back to the hotel.

When we got back to the hotel, we drop Adrien and Nino off. Because Alya, Ashton, and I need to get our bathing suits. Right now I'm looking for the perfect bathing suit. I walk out of my bathroom and into my room where Alya and Ashton are wait for me.
"How about this one?" I ask them for the third time.

"That's the one!" Alya cheers.
"You look amazing!" Ashton states.
I walk over to my full length mirror and look at myself.
"This one's my favorite." I state. I walk back into the bathroom and put my shirt and skirt over my swim suit.
I put my underwear in my bag with my towel and exit the bathroom.
"I'm ready to go." I say with a smile.
"Finally." Ashton says. I stick out my tongue at him and he laughs.
We get back into the car and go back to the hotel.

We enter the outdoor pool and Adrien and Nino are already swimming. There's no one else in here because I rented the pool for the day. Being a Princess does have its perks.
"What took you guys so long?" Adrien asks getting out and walking over to us followed by Nino. He was wearing black swim trunks with no shirt. He has ABS! OMG! Okay, calm down. You can do this. Breath in and out.
"Marinette, couldn't decide on a bathing suit." Ashton says, snapping me back to reality. Alya and I put our bags on one of the tables. I take off my shirt and skirt exposing my bathing suit. Alya takes off her swim suit cover and we both put them in our bags. I turn around and look at Adrien. I swear his cheeks turned light pink.
"Well you look great, Mari!" Adrien states making me blush.
"Thanks!" I say. Now, that I know hes my kitty I can't stutter around him. Ashton takes off his shirt and puts in on one of the chairs. I can clearly see he's muscles and six pack. He's my bodyguard so of course he looks like that. Ashton's swim trunks are red. Alya walks over to Nino.
"You look cute." He tells her. She's wearing a orange bikini with white poka dots. Nino's swim trunks are dark blue and he's also shirt less.
"I know! Now, come on it's hot!" Alya yells as she jumps in the pool. We all laugh at her then jump in also.

Adrien's POV

Marinette looks hot and who knew she would have abs. I sure didn't.
I can't wait to see her tonight as Chat Noir. All of a sudden Marinette splashes me in the face waking me up from my day dream.
"What was that for?" I ask. She just laughs and splashes me again.
"Your again get it now!" I proclaim. She looks at me confused as I go under water. I pick her up and throw her. She screams as she takes a breath before she goes under.
"Your mean!" Marinette whines when she comes back up.
"You started it." I state.
"Hey, you two want to play chicken." Nino asks.
"Your on!" I exclaims.
"What about Ashton?" Marinette asks.
"I'm fine watching." Ashton responds.
"Okay, I'm in! What about you, Mari?" Alya asks.
"I'll play." She answers.
"Okay, Alya is of course on my team so Marinette is on Adrien's team." Nino states. He goes under water and puts Alya on his shoulders then I do the same with Marinette. She screams a little when I first picked her up.
"You okay, Mari?" I ask.
"Fine. You just surprised me is all." She responds. Marinette is super light.
"Start in 3....2....1!" Ashton exclaims.
I move closer to Nino and Alya. Alya tries to push Marinette but she pushes Alya back instead. Alya falls in the pool and I flip Marinette over so she falls also.
"Rude!" Marinette yells when she comes back up. I just laugh at her.

We spent the rest of the time just swimming and having fun. Until the class showed up.
"There you guys are!" Mrs. Bustier yells as she and the class come out into the pool area. We all get out and grabs our towels.
"Hey, Mrs. Bustier." We acwordly say.
"You should send Marinette, Alya, and Nino home for ditching. I bet they made Adrien go with them." Chloe barks.
"Actually, I went freely." I answer.
"Chloe, I don't need your input!" Mrs. Bustier says annoyed.
"Well see what my daddy thinks of that!" Chloe states.
"Your dad has no authority here, Chloe!" Marinette snaps.
"What would you know, Maritrash!" Chloe growls.
"Just wait, Chloe. Soon you'll see!" Marinette states. I can't wait to see the look on Chloe's face when she finds out Marinette's the Princess.
"That's enough! I understand that you may not want to go on all of the planned activities. So, next time any of you decide to skip just please let me know. I thought I lost you guys!" Mrs. Bustier yells.
"We're sorry. We should have told you!" I say.
"I take full responsibility. I'm the adult and I should have let you know." Ashton states.
"It's in the past now. Just go change and get ready for dinner. That goes for everyone." Mrs. Bustier responds.
Every one goes to there rooms and Marinette and them change then go back to the palace.

Marinette's POV at the castle

I went to my room and took a shower before dinner. When I was done I changed back into the outfit Alya chose for me this morning. I put my hair in a simple ponytail and went to Alya's room. I knocked on her door.
"Come in." She yells from inside. I open the door and she's putting her shoes on.
"Hey, you ready for dinner?" I ask.
"I am now." She responds as she finishes putting her shoes on.
We walk down stairs and into the dining room. My mom, dad and brother are already seated. I seat in front of my mom. Ayla sits beside me and in front of Mathew.
"Now dinner can begin." Father states as servants bring out the food. We put stuff on our plates then begin eating.
"Tomorrow you, your mother and Alya will go dress shopping for the coronation." Father informs me.
"I can't wait!" I exclaim. I love dress shopping. That may be the best thing about this coronation.
"I get to go too?" Alya asks excitedly.
"Of course, your Marinette's best friend." Mother explains.
"Thank you." Alya replies.
"Your Welcome." Mother answers.
"Did you make the announcement yet?" Mathew asks.
"Yes, it should be on the news tomorrow morning." Father answers. Tomorrow everyone will know he moved the date up. I guess it makes since because my birthday is actually Friday. I have two more days until the coronation just two.

After Dinner Marinette's room

I change into a loose shirt and soft short shorts. I pluge my phone in and get in bed to talk to Tikki.
"Are you okay?" Tikki asks.
"This is all just happening so fast." I answer.
"It's alright we will get through this!" Tikki exclaims.
"What would I do without you?" I ask.
"Lose your mind!" She responds giggling.
"I totally would." I say then hear a knock on my balcony door. I walk outside onto my balcony looking for my kitty. I feel arms rap around my waist. I jump at first then remember who it is.
"Hello, Princess!" Chat whispers into my ear.
"Hey, kitty." I respond looking at the sunset.
"It's beautiful isn't?" Chat asks as he moves and stands beside me.
"Yes, it is." I say turning to look at him.
"What has my Princess been up too?" He asks.
"My Father moved up my coronation to Friday." I state.
"Are you ready?" He questions.
"No, not at all." I respond.
He pull me into a hug.
"Your going to be fine. I'm going to be there for you." He whispers. I pull away and look into his eyes.
"Why are you helping me?" I ask confused. Instead of answering he pulls me close and kisses me. It shocks me at first but then I returns the kiss.
He pulls away and says "Because I care about you!"
"What about Ladybug?" I ask.
"I like you not her. I went to China for you not her." He exclaims.
"I like you too, Adrien." I answer smiling.
