A Royal Surprise

Chapter 14

Marinette's POV 9:00 am

Tomorrow is my coronation! So, today is going to be about preparation for tomorrow. There's so much to do. This is going to be a long day!

8:45 pm

I walk into my room throw my heels off and flop down on my bed. Today was boring and tiring. I had to practice dancing for two hours straight! Then went over everything that is going to happen ten times. We also went over proper manners! I'm exhausted! When I'm about to fall asleep I hear a knock at my balcony door.
"Come in." I say. Chat walks inside and detrasforms.
"You look tired, Princess." He states.
"I had a long day!" I exclaim. He laughs and sits beside me.
"Are your ready?" Adrien asks.
"It's going to happen either way." I answer.
"Alya and I are going to be there with you so don't worry." He responds before kissing me.
"I know, kitty." I yawn.
"Well I better let the Princess get her beauty sleep." Adrien states then leaves. Silly Kitty!

Coronation day

"Marinette! Wake up!" Alya yells.
"Do I have too?" I whine.
"It's your coronation day! You know the day you become queen. Ringing any bells?" Alya questions. I jump up.
"It's coronation day!" I cheer and Alya laughs.
"Yeah, so get up. We have a lot to do." She states and I groan.
"I know." I answer. I get up and walk towards my closet. I'm going to pick out a simple outfit since I'm going to wear a ball gown tonight. It's a violet dress that reaches above my knees with a black belt around my waist. After I'm down changing I finish getting ready.

"Marinette let's go!" Alya yells. I come out of the bathroom.
"I'm coming!" I proclaim. Alya has on a light purple skirt with a black top.
We exit my room and Ashton is waiting in front of his room.
"Finally! I almost thought you decided to skip your coronation." He says when he sees me.
"Ha ha. Very funny." I respond. We walk down stairs to have breakfast then the day begins.

Today was just like yesterday. We went over the coronation, my manners, and so on. Now it time to get ready for my coronation and I'm scared and excited. I guess we're fixing to see how my class takes the news. I'm walking to my room to get ready with two maids following me. We enter my room and the first maid does my makeup and the second does my hair. They put my hair in a side braid and I have light fountain, blush, mascara, and pink lipstick on. Finally, it's time to put my dress on. The maids leave and I put my blue sleeveless dress on.

Shortly after I'm done getting ready, Alya walks inside my door.
"You look gorgeous, girl!" Alya exclaims. I giggle and respond
"I could say the same for you! Nino isn't going to be able to take his eyes off of you!" I cheer. Alya blushes a deep red. Her hair is in a bun and she has red lipstick, blush, fountain, eyeliner, and mascara on. Her dress is beautiful, long, and orange pinkish colored dress.

"Thanks! Now let's go!" Alya says grabbing my arm and pulling me out the door and to the staircase. My brother and Ashton is already there waiting for us. "You two look beautiful!" Ashton says when he sees us.
"Thanks and are they here yet?" I ask.
"They just arrived." Mathew replies with a smirk. By saying 'they' we mean my class. They are the first ones here just like we planned it. This way I can answer all their questions before the coronation.

Narrator's POV
Everyone in Marinette's class was dressed formally and now on their way to the palace. They finally pull up to the palace and the bus stops.
"Before we get off the bus, I'm going to set some ground rules. Number one, be respectful. This is the King, Queen, Princess, and Prince we're meeting! I also expect you to be on your best behavior. You are representing yourselves, your parents, our school, and myself. Any questions?" Mrs. Bustier asks.
"No." The class answers. Then they make their way off the bus and to the front doors. Once the guards see their invitation, they open the doors for them. A maid shows them the foyer and tells them the royal family will see them shortly.

There's a staircase at the front of the room that the Prince, Princess, and Lady will be coming from. There are some seats available for the class that a couple of students sit in while others stand and wait.
"Where's Marinette and Alya?" Nino asks.
"You'll see them shortly." Mrs. Bustier replies.
"The royal family doesn't care about losers like them anyway." Chloe comments.
"Don't you be talking like that, Chloe!" Mrs. Bustier yells. Chloe rolls eyes.
A guard standing at one of the doors makes a announcement "Attention everyone. I give you the King and Queen of China!"
The door opens and a nicely dressed man and woman walk in the room. The class stands up when the notice the crowns on top of their heads.
"Hello everyone! I'm King Felix and this is my wife Queen Bridgette." King Felix informs them.
"We want to thank you all for coming! Our son and daughter should be down soon but while we wait, are there any questions?" Queen Bridgette asks.
"No, we don't have any and thank you for inviting us, your Highnesses" Mrs. Bustier replies. Then Ashton comes down the stairs.
"Attention everyone! I give you Prince Mathew, Princess Marinette, and Lady Alya." Ashton announces as all three walk down the stairs. Marinette at the front with Mathew at her left side and Alya at her right side.
"Is that Marinette?" Kim asks.
"I'm point 99.9% sure that's Marinette!" Max comments.
"There's no way Maribrat's a Princess!" Chloe barks.
"Your just jealous, Chloe!" Adrien states. When they get to the bottom the King and Queen move over to them in front of the staircase.
"Hey, everyone!" Marinette says and everyone just stares at her shocked. Well except Adrien.
