>Chapter 2<

~Ponyboy's POV~

"Wake up!" I heard someone yell as I was shaked very violently. I shot straight up to my feet the second I smelled smoke and looked around only to see the tent was on fire. I was glued to my spot as hot tears rushed down my face. Why would someone do this? Who even did this? I didn't know...

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt someone pick me up and I looked up, sighing in relief when it was just my boyfriend. "W-who did this?" I asked through a sob I didn't know had escaped. "Shh..we're gonna be ok..." Johnny whispered ever so calmly, but you could see the fear and panic in his big brown orbs. He rushed to the most hidden area he could find and carefully set me to my feet then began gathering supplies for a new shelter. "This is the safest spot I could find," I heard him murmur and I started helping him gather sticks and loose peices of bark I could find.

A while later we had a new shelter built, and it honestly looked sturdier then the last one. "I sure hope this is hidden enough.." I murmured to myself, then felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist from behind. I smiled and looked at Johnny, then shared a soft kiss with him before getting out of his grip and gathering more sticks and a few rocks to start a fire.

"Ow, shit!" I cursed. I burnt my finger trying to build up the fire more. Then, all hell broke loose. The fire spread, the shelter went up in flames, our whole hidden spot went up in flames.

But...

...

I heard screaming.

I woke up with a gasp and quickly looked around. I took a few deep and shakey breaths when I realized it was all a dream, but then realized moving our site wasn't a dream. I could see the smoke from the other site that got sent in flames, good thing it didnt spread too badly.

I looked to my left and that's when I started to silently cry in joy. My boyfriend was alright and sleeping peacefully which is then I was sure enough it was all a dream. I carefully laid down next to him and scooted close enough so our bodies were pressed together and I melted into the warmth his body was emitting. I got a sense of relief and that we would be ok.

But sometimes, consequences can happen.
