Teardrop, in her past life, was named Diana. Her full name is Diana Daphne Smith. When she was 5, she was brutally abused and beaten by a gang member, and broke her throat. She got sent to the hospital and the doctor said that her throat is impossible to be cured and fixed, and she's unable to talk. At that moment, she lost her voice. She started crying because of that, but without her voice. Her parents started crying too, because their daughter named Diana won't talk ever again.
One day in 1923 when she was 16, she was in a field trip with her family, and then, a gang member that beat up Diana years again came to Diana and her family again, and he shot her with a gun. She got shot right in the head. She was killed instantly, and her family started crying. The gang member got arrested. And in court, he was found guilty, and was sentenced to death penalty. In Diana's BFDI counterpart, she's still silent and doesn't talk at all.
