Tennis Ball was originally a fat dude named Justin. His full name is Justin Fernando Menendez. He's a fat man who is smart and knows everything, but sometimes get clumsy. When he was in school, he always get straight A's just like Sierra, and he is a scientist in college. He graduated from High School in 1966, and started going into college a few months later.
One day in 1968 when Justin was 20, Justin was working on an experience on science at college, but he was so exhausted and clumsy that he accidentally messed up on the science experience, and it exploded. Most people survived, but some, including Justin, didn't survive. Justin died of an explosion in 1968 at age 20. In his BFDI counterpart, he's still smart, but is very clumsy because of his size and because of the fact that he doesn't have arms.
