Aphmau's POV

"What do you think of FCU so far?" Aaron questions, while walking me to the café.

"It's chill, but I don't want to get too excited. It's only orientation, not the real deal yet." I sigh.

"What do you mean?" Aaron asks.

"How do I know college isn't going to be the same as high school, or even worse? I don't." I reply.

"C'mon, lighten up! It's not that bad!" Aaron smiles.

I smile back.

"I guess...I'll do it for you." I chuckle.

"I'm gonna make sure you'll have a great time for orientation ANDDDD when you're an actual student here!"

"I'll be the judge of that." I smirk.

"Then it's on." He put his fist in front of my face. "Like Donkey Kong."

"Oh shut up you!" I elbow him.

We laugh, and just talk until we get to the café.

"We're here!" He exclaims.

"Woah...." I stare up at the building in awe.

"Let's head in, shall we?" I gesture him.

"Right behind you!" He smiled.

We head inside the building and we find ourselves a table, I sit down while Aaron goes and orders our coffee.

He already knows what I want, a Pumpkin Spice Latte. Nothing special, just a regular Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Unless there isn't one, he knows my backup one.

A 5 double risotto venti half soy non fat decaf organic chocolate brownie iced vanilla double shot gingerbread Frappuccino extra hot with foam, whipped cream upside down blended, one sweet, and low and one extra and one neutral sweet with ice.

And for him, well he just likes a simple Americano.

If they don't have it, he doesn't get coffee.

How do we know each other this much?

Well we took the time to know each other, even when we didn't even know our real names, when we knew each other as FC and Shu.

~flashback~

Middle school, summer going into 8th grade

"Bye mom! I'm heading to Lily's house! Be back by 5:00 PM!"

"Hija, I need to talk to you real quick before you leave." My mom says as she pays her hand on the seat beside her.

"Yeah, mom?"

"Due to the tragic events that have been occurring lately, I'm...going to have to pull you out of public school, to home school." She sighs.

"Oh...that's, okay..I guess.."

"Are you okay with that hija?"

"Yeah, I'm fine..I get why you're doing it, you're just protecting me..and I get that.." I force a smile.

"Thank you for understanding hija." Mom kisses my forehead. "Be back soon!"

"I will!"
