The Star Covers

The four sat in Katherine's room, practicing their instruments and voices. They already decided on covering KISS's songs  Beth, Psycho Circus and Rock and Roll all nite. As the group got ready for the big day, they realized something that they forgot to discuss. What's our band name?!

"It needs to be something interesting, something unique, something that doesn't sound like something from This is Spinal Tip." The group laughed at the last comment Katherine made. But they really needed a band name.

"How about The Stars?" Tanya suggested. The girls liked the idea

"It's not a bad idea but I feel like something is missing because we're covering songs and-" Then an idea interrupts her comment. "The Star Covers. That's what we could be! The Star Covers!" Once the group heard it they were in. They agreed with the name. They thought it sounds very cool and fun. Then another idea was thrown onto the table.

"Let's get ourselves our own outfits! And it could be in our favourite colours!" Cassie suggests. The girls thought that was awesome. Veena states that her mother has a couple of colourful clothes that they could use. So they told Katherine's parents were they were heading.

They arrived in downtown St John's and Veena led them into a small house in between a bunch of churches. Veena told her that her parents moved to any house that was available and they  weren't religious. They walked in and an older woman with red hair, Veena's mother greeted them in.

"And who's this? A new friend?" Wanda asked. "Nice to meet you." She greeted warmly. Katherine introduces herself and explains why she and her friends were here and asked for the boxes filled with outfits. Wanda grabs as many boxes as she could find and the girls looked through and found some pieces of clothing that they really liked and tried them on.

Tanya's outfit had a dark blue jacket with a blue shirt underneath with pale blue shimmering stars on it. She has a knee length skirt with three large strips on it in three different shades of blue. The bottom was light blue, sky blue in the middle and blue at the top. She has dark blue boots and a blue hair lace to keep her hair in a high ponytail to top of the outfit

Cassie's outfit has a dress that's pale pink on the shirt part of the dress with slightly darker pink polkadots. She has a dark pink ribbon belt with it tied up in a bow with the skirt part of the dress pink and has pink flats on. She's got a pink headband with pale pink stars on it and a shimmering pale pink star is in center of her belt.

Veena's outfit has a black shirt with magenta shimmering stars on it and a magenta jacket with the sleeves folded up to her elbows. A black belt held up her magenta skirt that has a black frill at the bottom that has magenta shimmering stars on it to match with the shirt. She has grey boots with magenta bands around it. She has magenta hair laces with black shimmering stars in the center.

Katherine's outfit has a purple jacket with a lavender shirt underneath with stars traced on it in purple lace. She has a purple skirt with lavender shimmering stars at the bottom and a purple belt with a lavender crystal looking star in the center of the belt and purple flats with a small shimmering lavender star on each flat. She finished her outfit with a purple star shaped hair clip.

They looked in the mirror together. We're ready!
