The Star Covers

First Day

Katherine quickly got up and changed into lavender shirt, a purple jean jacket over it and a purple jean skirt. She putted on a pair of black boots and a black scarf. According to her mother, it was not the warmest outside. Once she got out of the room, she grabbed her purple backpack with a foam lavender star key-chain. She smelt pancakes from the kitchen and went to the table.

"Morning Mom!" Katherine greeted. She sat down and saw the pancakes on the table and quickly ate them. She was excited to go to school. After finishing her pancakes, she brushed her teeth and started making her way to the door. "See ya later!" Katherine called to her parents.

"Have a good day at school honey" Mitchell said to her

"We love you!" Ally called out. Katherine left the house and started walking towards St. Peter's Elementary School right near by her house. As she entered the school, Katherine walked to the principals office.

"Excuse me, I'm Katherine Peterson from Wyoming and I am a new student here." Katherine called from behind the desk. The principal looked up to her.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Mr. Foster. Let me get your locker number and schedule. Your classroom is 5-4." Mr. Foster told her, passing her schedule and locker combination. He got up from his desk and led her down to her locker

"Locker No. 185" Katherine thought. She turned the lock around a few times to match the combination number 15- 4-22. After putting her stuff in her locker, she asked her principal "What's the classroom number?"

"Room 218" He answered. She thanked the principal and the door was open and she walked in a saw a bunch of kids sitting in desks. A teacher with brown hair and eyes with tan skin smiles at her. The teacher motions her to move forward.

"Alright everyone. We have a new student joining our class today. So go ahead Katherine. Introduce yourself to your new classmates. I'm Ms. Lopez by the way." The teacher instructed. Katherine looked around before beginning.

"Hi everyone. I'm Katherine Peterson from Wyoming. I love purple and music so much. My favourite food is pizza. I love playing the guitar and I want to be a rockstar when I'm older. Anyway, it's really nice to meet all of you." Everyone clapped for her and her teacher pointed to an empty desk in second vertical line.

"Katherine take a seat right over there" Ms. Lopez instructed her. Katherine nodded and sat down in between two girls. One with red hair in a ponytail and one with orange hair with pink on. Katherine got a history book from her teacher. "Alright everyone. Take out your history books and turn to page 203" Her teacher told everyone

Katherine noticed behind a student behind her was glaring at her for no reason. "I better watch out for her." Katherine thought and continued reading.
