Gatewater Hotel | Stock Room

Once we have opened the door Kay threw her arms on my neck as she sobbed, her tears continously fall onto my shoulder, "S-someone put me in there." She whispered as she tightly grabbed onto my body. I slowly put my hands on her back returning the embrace.

The room was full of cleaning supplies and even props to events. This is clearly a stock room. A power circuit was in the corner and a broken window is located at the far back of the room covered by props and cleaning materials. Rolls of tissues were scattered on the floor, napkins and mops are placed at the corner, and props for shows were covered in white sheets, with all this mess from what I see is a can of shoe brown cleaner. It was completely shut off from the hotel unless a loud sound can be erupted from this room. Kay Faraday got lucky because of that loud and shrilling scream.

Upon entering this room I've noticed that the keycard was needed in order to get in yet I saw that it was broken. It might've been jammed but.. weirdly enough, it was broken from the inside. Kay couldn't have possibly do this because her feet and hands were both tied.

"We untied her yet she didn't want to go out of the room when she doesn't see someone familiar to her." The police officer spoke and I nodded to him mouthing a "Thank you."

"I-it's a-alright, Kay. I'm here." I slide one of my hands on her back up and down.

"Come on, let's get you somewhere safe." I told her but her arms was still hugging my tall figure."You know what she said? She told me, "Solve this case. My client has been running away from me." And accidentally this card fell on the floor." She handed me the familiar calling card we all know.

"Shelly de Killer." I breathed out, my jaw clenched and I grit my teeth.

Kay leaned back, "I thought he was a man?" She innocently asked as I stare at her eyes and my hands rested on her waist.

"Their name and will is passed on down by generations, may it be a man or a woman. He or she is still Shelly de Killer." I spoke and she leaned in, burying her head on my chest.

"Oh, you know I could've fought back but I was in a dress the whole time. I think I'm pretty awesome to even attempted to punch her, I was knocked out cold though in return." She bragged, her voice vibrating on my chest, and she laughed.

I chuckled, "You were only crying a minute ago but now I get to hear your soft laugh." Kay pressed her cheeks harder onto my chest, "Boy, I'm just so glad to see you. Let's go! Take me back to Mr. Edgeworth. I'm sure he'll solve this case." She let go and grabbed my arm, running out of the stock room.

Gatewater Hotel | Viola Hall

"Kay! I was worried sick, where did you go?" Mr. Edgeworth blurted out once we arrived at the hall. I glance at Kay and she smiled towards Mr. Edgeworth, her arm clinging onto mine.

"I'm fine, Mr. Edgeworth. Don't worry about me but you have to catch De Killer."

"The ice cream vendor?!" Mr. Edgeworth asked, stunned in his presence.
