10:49 a.m.
"can we have a sleepover after your whole date thing? it's been such a long time since our last one." uraraka questioned as she finished buttoning up her friend's shirt.
"yeah! you have to tell us how it went!" toru giggles excitedly.
the girls took a step back and gushed proudly at deku, who now stood in a darkish green button-up with black skinny jeans. he tried to wear his red shoes but was automatically denied to wearing them and was given regular old skool black vans.
"it feels like you're all my mom getting me ready for prom." deku laughed awkwardly.
"speaking of how is she- oh wait. shit, i'm sorry." momo was about to ask before she remembered what had happened.
"it's fine. don't worry." midoriya gave a soft smile. it was a rather awkward moment that uraraka quickly tried to recover from.
"hey, it's about time for shinso to pick you up, we should probably start heading out." uraraka had a soft and motherly tone to her voice, calming down the girls. they all headed out of midoriya's room, but he stopped uraraka before she could leave.
"d-do you think my mom would be proud of me?" midoriya gave a hopeful smile.
"deku," uraraka sighed and walked beside midoriya, sitting beside him and taking him into his arms.
midoriya was having a quarter life crisis and it wasn't fun to watch. he was struggling through student loans with his mom not being able to support him, so he had to drop out. he tried to find love, was manipulated so many times. only a handful of his friends weren't sucky. his bills just kept getting higher and higher as the city got more and more populated, and deku didn't have a great paying job. he worked at a small desk job and used alcohol as a coping mechanism. it wasn't healthy, he knew.
                              he just couldn't stop.
"you know inko would be proud of anything you do, solely as long as you're happy?" uraraka gave him a hopeful smile and held his hand tightly. "you're going to be okay. i still have yet to one-hundred percent trust shinso, but i can see he really does care about you." she looked into his eyes in an almost motherly way.
it was kinda crazy how uraraka had always made him feel so much better, and he really admired his friend for that. making someone feel better even at their shittiest was something he really took in greatly.
"thank you." deku gave a small reassurance smile and gave uraraka a quick side hug.
