Nightmares ~ Blake Snell (TB Rays)

Not requested, just in a Snell mood today for some odd reason lol soO hErE wE GO

"Fuck, shit!" I said as I woke up in a puddle of sweat and tears. Immediately I reached for the spot on the bed next to me, out of force of habit, to wake my boyfriend up. Unfortunately, he was away on a road game, so I was left all alone to deal with my nightmare. I looked over at the clock, which read 11:15 PM. Blake was coming home tonight, but they had a 7 o'clock game, so he wouldn't be home for awhile longer. I decided to call him to see if the team had left New York yet. Plus, his voice would calm me down. It always does. 

My shaky hands reached for my phone on the night stand, and I clicked on his contact, tears still rolling down my cheeks as I hit the FaceTime icon. "Please pick up, please pick up." I whispered to myself. After a few rings, it said connecting, and seconds later the cutest face in the world appeared on my screen. 

"Hey pretty girl! What's u- wait, what's wrong babe?"  He asked with a concerned look

"Nightmare." I sniffled. "I was asleep but it woke me up. You're not here to comfort me so I figured FaceTime was the next best thing."

"Aww baby." He cooed. "I'm sorry I'm not there. We're boarding our flight in 20 minutes so I'll be home around 3:00, okay love?" 

I nodded and wiped a tear away. "I miss you." I said in a soft tone

"I miss you too baby, I'll be home soon. Why don't you try to get some rest, okay? I'll wake you when I get home if you want." He said

I nodded. "Please do."

"I will, I promise. Get some sleep babe, I'll see you soon okay? I love you." He said

"I love you too, see you soon." I said and hung up

I shut my phone off and put it back on the nightstand. I figured I should try to go back to sleep for awhile. 

*Time skip*

I managed to fall back asleep around midnight. I was in a deep sleep until I heard faint footsteps coming towards the bedroom door. My eyes fluttered open and I sat up slightly when I saw the door open. "Blake?" I asked and turned on the bedside lamp, as his tall figure walked in the room. "Hey baby." He said as he set his bags down. I got up and kneeled on the side of the bed and opened my arms. He walked right into them and rested his head on top of mine after he placed a kiss on it. 

I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck. "I'm so glad you're home." I whispered. "Me too babe." He said as he tightened his grip around my waist. "You feeling better?" He asked as he started to pull away but I refused to let go. "Wait I'm not done yet!" I said. He chuckled. "But yes, I am feeling better." I said. 

Finally I released my grip on him. "Do you wanna talk about your nightmare?" He asked as he gently tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. I nodded my head. "Not right now. I just wanna cuddle with my cute boy and go to bed." I said. He smiled. "Anything for you." He said as he leaned forward and gave me a soft kiss on the lips. 

I laid back down as Blake changed into sweats and took off his shirt. He crawled into bed next to me and I immediately cuddled into his side. He turned off the bedside lamp and turned towards me as he wrapped his arm around me. "Thank you for making me feel better." I said in a soft tone. "I'll always be here to make sure you're okay. It's my job." He said and kissed my forehead. I smiled. 

"Goodnight, I love you." I said

"I love you more." He said, and we drifted off to sleep. 

A/N- Dangggg this was stinkin' CUTE!!!! I've been in a Snell mood since like 9 this morning lol I really don't know why but I think we need to appreciate his face a lil more cause it's CUTE !! !!! !!!!

Anyways I hope y'all liked this! I'll write some more when I get back from my trip❤️ I'll let y'all know how good Nolan looks in person ;)
