Not requested, just been on a Max Fried kick for a few days because look at that babe... ENJOY!!
It had been a little over a month since the last time I was able to go to a Braves game, and today was finally the day I could see Max pitch in person again. I recently gave birth to our baby girl, Olivia (Livy), and I've basically been on house lockdown ever since. Max begged me to bring our little Livy to his last two starts, but I didn't feel comfortable bringing her out just yet. After much convincing and reassurance that everything would be fine, I finally gave in and said I would bring her to his game today. Max really misses me at his games, and he wants his team to meet Livy.
I contemplated just getting a babysitter and going to the game myself, but neither Max nor I really want to leave our baby girl with just anyone quite yet, and we didn't have any family members close to us to watch her. Finally convincing myself that everything would be fine and to go to the game, I got myself and Livy ready. I dressed in some blue jeans with a white tank top under my red Fried jersey and put Livy's little Fried jersey on as well. It was a bit big on her but she looked adorable and ready to support her daddy! Once I was all ready I put Livy in her carseat and we headed off to Sun Trust Park! It was a beautiful day for baseball, 75 and sunny with not a cloud in the sky.
Once we pulled up to the stadium I began to get excitement nerves. I haven't watched Max play in person in what felt like forever, and I was so happy to be back here! I grabbed the baby bag and the carrier with Livy in it and headed towards the clubhouse. Once inside I spotted Max talking to Dansby with his back turned to me. When Dansby spotted me with Livy his eyes went wide with excitement and he had the biggest smile on his face, which caused Max to turn around. When he saw the two of us he beamed immediately and made his way over to us, engulfing me in a tight hug.
"I'm so glad you came sweetheart! And you brought my princess!" He said excitedly as we released from the hug. He immediately snatched her from me, setting her carrier down on a table nearby. While he did that I gave Dansby a big hug, filling him in on the past month.
"Yeah it's been crazy as shit, but we couldn't be happier. Liv is an angel, and I can tell she's already a daddy's girl." I say as I smile, looking over at Max picking Livy up out of her carrier. "Hi baby!" He coos as he lifts her into his arms. "I missed you, sweet angel." He says as he showers her little face with kisses. The sight of them made my heart explode. Max was so good with her, he was so gentle and loving. I could already tell after a short period of time that he was going to be a great father, he loved his little girl so much.
Dansby snapped me out of my thoughts by saying "You need to bring the little one over sometime. Mal really wants to meet her. We're all ready to spoil her." I agreed and said we'll all get together soon as Max brought Livy over for Dansby to meet her. Moments later she was practically being passed around the locker room from player to player, Max keeping a sharp eye on her.
When it was time for the team to take the field Max surrendered Livy back over to me, but not before showering her once again with kisses. I placed her back in her carrier and went to give Max a hug before he took the mound. "Hopefully I can get as many kisses as Livy does." I said as he held me against his chest. "Don't worry, you'll get yours later babe." Max said and I could hear the smirk in his voice. I pulled away and smacked his chest, earning a chuckle from him. "I'll see you girls after the game, love you both." He said as he leaned down to kiss me. "We love you too, superstar." I said.
I headed over to the WAGs section where I always sit with the other wives/girlfriends. Once everyone saw me coming they immediately got up to greet me and Olivia. After getting held and loved on by all the girls she settled down for a nap, despite how loud the park was.
Livy was an angel throughout the entire game, waking up in the 4th inning but thankfully not fussy at all. Max pitched through 7 innings, and he did amazing! When his outing was over he headed to the dugout, looking up at me and Livy on his way, waving and blowing us kisses. I lifted her out of her carrier and up so Max could see her, which made him smile so big. "Look baby, there's daddy!" I said to her. A smile appeared on her little face and she started giggling. Once he was back in the dugout I got a bottle out for her and cradled her in my arms. "Looks like she's already a daddy's girl." Chelsea Freeman said from beside me. I looked over at her and smiled. "She 100% is."
We all headed home that night with smiles on our faces. The Braves won big, Max did awesome and I finally got to bring our baby girl to her first game! Max is now convinced Livy is the teams good luck charm, and said I have to bring her to every home game. Once we were home Max helped me bathe her and he rocked her to sleep before putting her to bed. When she was asleep he headed into our bedroom.
He laid down on the bed, placing his head in my lap. "Thank you for bringing Liv to the game today baby, it was so great to see you both there." He said. I smiled as I played with his soft brown hair that was getting quite long. "Of course Maxy." "Your hairs getting long baby." I said. "Mmm, I like it. It's easier for you to play with. It feels good." He said in a relaxed tone with his eyes closed, enjoying the feeling of me running my fingers through his hair. "But I do believe I owe you some kisses." He said as he flipped the switch so fast, sitting up and pulling me under him, hovering over me. I giggled as I brought my hands up to his face to pull him down to me. "That you do."
He was kissing me slowly and gently, but slowly grew more rough. I tangled my fingers in his hair and bit his bottom lip as he slipped his tongue into my mouth. He detached his lips from mine and started kissing down my neck when we heard faint cries coming from the baby monitor next to us. We pulled apart and smiled at each other before I said "Go get em daddy." He grinned as he went to do what he does best, care for his baby girl. He brought her into our room and we showered her with love until she fell back asleep.
As Max was putting her back to bed I smiled to myself, thinking about my perfect and now complete little family. I was so lucky.
A/N- WOAH AN UPDATE!!!! Yes I know it's been over a year since I've updated and I apologize. I was pretty hesitant on starting this book in the first place because I always lose interest in writing, but I've been in a huge baseball mood lately with the postseason going on. Speaking of, who y'all got in the World Series? I want the Rays to win despite being a Yankees fan, but I really wish the Braves were in it :( I was crushed when they lost, I was looking forward to seeing Max pitch again *sigh*. Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this little update!! Love and miss you all!❤️
P.S. if you request, there's a chance I might write some more... No promises though!!
P.P.S. Max Fried is hella underrated,, CAN WE SHOW THIS CUTE BABE SOME LOVE PLEASE?!!
