Tristan's POV
"You?" It takes me a minute to understand why she's here and then I remember she was supposed to be moving into the dorms today. Realisation hits me and my smile grows wider.
"Stella, Stella, Stella. It seems like destiny wants us to be together."
She has a confused look on her face as if not gathering the situation properly.
"Why are you here Tristan?"
"This is my dorm Stella, it seems we're roommates."
And the look of rage on her face. If looks could kill I'd be 10feet under the ground by now.
"That is not possible Tristan! I'm sure there's some mistake."
"There isn't any mistake sugar. You not being here would have been a mistake."
"Whatever. I'm just gonna go find out."
I smile at her which pisses her off even more than she already is, if possible. She turns around and leaves and slams the door shut.Is this really where she is going to stay? Does this mean I get to spend more time with her?
Wait what? Who cares about time! I'm going crazy.
------------------------Stella's POV
I walk to the reception, or more like run.
"Good Evening Ms Fullers."
"Good Evening Stella, what brings you here?"
"It's my dorm number. I'm sure there's been a mistake."
"There isn't any mistake Stella, what's wrong?"
"I'm sharing the dorm with Tristan?"
"Ah yes. You see that was the last accommodation left for this semester and since there are no rules saying that you can't share a dorm with a guy, you were given that one."
"You have got to be kidding me! Is there nothing that can be done? Please!"
" I am so sorry Stella, I would love to help you but there isn't anything that I can do."
"Can we not ask some other girl to stay there? I'm sure they'd die for an offer like that!"
"You're right Stella, the authority could have shifted another girl there, but they didn't. You know why?"
"Um no?"
"It's because he can't be handled by just anyone. A girl like you would be able to deal with him or ignore him when she wants to."
" Well if that's what you say Ms Fullers! Thank you though."
"Not a problem Stella. You've been here just two days and you're already my favourite. Now off you go sweetie." She smiles at me and I leave the reception.I walk back thinking how I'm going to deal with him. No wonder why the girls left so abruptly when I told them the number, they must have known.
I'm standing at the door contemplating whether I should go inside or not.
"Oh common just get in will you." Says Tristan with an amused grin. I so wish to wipe that smile off his face.
"Coming, whatever"
"Oh sugar, they didn't listen to your request to change the dorm?"
"Don't annoy me Tristan. You don't want to be on my side."
"Oh come on Stella, don't act so pissed. You know that one day you're going to let that head down and beg for me."
If I didn't already hate him, I wanted to kill him after he said that, but two can play this game.
"The only time I'd ever let my head down would be to admire my shoes."
With that I step inside, pick up my bag and walk into the room which is empty.I blare music through my headphones to drown out Tristan's voice entirely. I scan the room and realise that isn't small by any means. In fact it is pretty big.
There's a queen side bed in the centre with a study table at the left corner. There's a huge dressing table on the left wall and a full length mirror near the washroom door.
The best part is the full length windows on the right side of the bed. There's even a huge TV screen and a double seater cream coloured sofa.
I enter the washroom which has both a shower cubicle and a bath tub as well. I internally scream with joy at the sight of the tub. At least I can use bath bombs everyday. Oh how much I love them!
Much to my surprise there's another door inside the washroom, I open the door and walk inside.
Are you kidding me? My dorm room has a freaking walking closet? Here I was thinking I would have to adjust without one.
I see a small card placed on one of the shelves which reads:
'Ms Salvatore,
It's a pleasure to have you here, this dorm has been prepared specially for you, as Mr Salvatore had asked.
We hope you like it here'
Ah well, the perks of having Samuel Salvatore as your father. I love my father a lot! Heck he is the one I love the most.
Suddenly I feel an urge to call him and so I dial his number.
"How's my lil princess?"
"Daddy!"
"Oh how I've missed that enthusiastic voice calling out for me. How are you doing Stella?"
"I'm fine daddy. I miss you loadsss!" I say extending the s.
"I'll be sure to come and pay you a visit soon princess."
"By the way daddy, did you know my dorm has a walk in closet?"
"Oh does it Stella? We should get your dorm changed then, they're spoiling my little brat."
"Like you haven't spoilt me enough already!"
"I'd like you to have an amazing time there Stella. Make memories just like we did." I pause for a second thinking about the 'we' used in the sentence when realisation hits me like bricks. This is the same dorm where mom and dad met for the first time. I smile to myself and say "I will dad."
"Great. I'll talk to you later then. I love you princess." And he hangs up after that.
My mind lingers on the word 'princess'. How much I love being called that.I decide to arrange my stuff in the closet so that I can be free afterwards.
As I begin with it Tristan barges into my room and without saying a word just starts helping me.
Before I can tell him that I arrange my clothes according to a colour scheme, I see him already doing that. I stare at him, maybe too long because he looks at me and throws a smile. Not the usual smirk, an actual smile and I think I just melted a little.
"Done staring at me?"
"What? I wasn't staring at you, I'm just shocked that you managed to segregate the clothes according to the colour scheme. That too on your own!"
"Woah ok, first of all, I'm not as dumb as you're giving me credit for being and secondly it wouldn't take a genius to understand that you're a person who's way too particular about how their clothes are kept."
I decide to just answer the first part and say, "You're totally right, you're even dumber than I'm giving you credit for! My bad, sorry!"
I raise my hands in surrender and try to maintain a stoic face but burst out laughing. I see him trying to control as well.
I don't even know what was so funny in the situation but soon we're both toppling over laughing like lunatics.
While we're laughing I hear someone walk in.
"Stella"
"Tristan"
"We're in here guys" Tristan calls out to Noah and Jayson.
"So how do you like your roommate Stella?" Noah asks with a teasing grin.
I look at Tristan and blurt "dumb" before I can stop myself.
Jay and Noah start to laugh as well.
"Now you guys stop whatever you're doing, we've got the drinks and pizza."
Oh boy, this is going to be a long night.
While we all sit in the lounge which is actually bigger than average Noah speaks, " Ok Stella, now we're going to play a game. Usually we play this when the person is too drunk to even realise what he's saying. But..."
"We don't have enough alcohol to get you drunk right now." Jay finishes the sentence for him.
I'm already sceptical now.
"Is the game that bad?"
"See for yourself Sugar!" Tristan comments.
We all sit with our bottles of beer when Noah says we should start playing.
"So, I'm going to say a word and you're going to say the first word that comes to your mind after that. Then I'll use the word you said and so on. But you're not allowed to think alright?"
"Okay!"
"Cool then let's start. Friends"
"Shopping"
"Shopping?"
"Fun"
"Fun?"
"Party"
"Party?"
"Alcohol"
"Alcohol?"
"Hangover"
"Hangover?"
"Asprin"
"Asprin?"
"Medicine"
"Medicine?"
"Round"
"Round?"
"Earth"
"Earth?"
"Nature"
"Nature?"
"Mountains"
"Mountains?
"Love"
"Love?"
And with that I go silent.
"Stella, you can't think. You have just two more seconds. What is love?" Says Noah as though he's asked the easiest question in the world.
