PLOT

In 2017, Son O-Gong and Woomawang are in conflict with each other and they look for a true light in a dark world where evils exists everywhere.

I've been seeing it for a while but I haven't got much time and good dramas keep on being released so my free time isn't proportion to dramas I like to watch. But since I've been craving for something bad-guy-fell-in-love-with-vulnerable-girl, I thought this would be it (based on clips I saw online). It was beautiful, although at some part I feel like they were dragging the story line but I will recommend this if you like something light, fun and romantic.

I've been mentioning not being into light dramas in my previous reviews but I guess what separate them from this is the fact that this is a fantasy drama. This have Gods, Monsters and human who have the ability to see evil spirits so its nice and made me expect a bit. It was well-written and the scenes were acted exaggeratedly to be funny; I admit few were funny but some were awkward.

What I love in this drama, too, is the fact that they established the theme they wanted to portray. Like a story book, they were telling about how the greed and selfishness of people is what resulted to all the evil spirits they encountered. So this giant evil spirit is like a compilation of all the sins and so the lead girl was brought in the human world as gift from spiritual realm, to save our shit.

Then I thought, too, that they got big budget for this drama since they have many special guesting from known actors/actresses however one flaw I saw was its graphic. It was pain in the eyes. I don't know if its because I studied film but the graphics of this drama were so obvious and I would rather have them lessen it. Or they could've sorted enough budget on that production side instead of inviting special guests but guess it was too late to make a suggestion.

Anyway, I really think its great if you don't mind the level of their special effects. This is personal (and true story) but story line is super exciting that I couldn't stop myself from watching (I only stopped when I saw the sun has risen) and then, I wasn't able to go to work just so I can finish the whole drama. It was that interesting, in my opinion.

CAST

The writers made quiet interesting characters in this drama and I like how they did with the casting.

Everyone of us have watched Miracle in Cell No. 7, aren't we? Well, I feel like a proud mother seeing Kal So-Won here, all grown-up and acting very great as usual.
