"Princess Ariella!"

The guard's call was muffled by the sound of a loud, ear-splitting hiss of a bomb timer. Only a split second and the explosion ripped through the castle; walls falling and cement crumbling under her feet. She didn't delight in running from her family, but she had an idea and was willing to risk it.

After the bomb, there was barely a path that lead to her target room, with pieces of ruin lying cataclysmically in front of her feet. "Fuck." She mumbled to herself, her eyes scanning what was left of the hallway in an effort to find a way out.

"How many dead?" Unfamiliar voices tossed words around her, and their tones only grew closer as they neared her. She was running out of options.

"The one's who're important."

Great. The princess thought, her lips pressed together as she spotted an armed man make his way towards her place. They're all dead and there's only one way to bring them back.

Finally seeing an opening in the ruins, she made a run for the narrow-cliff hallway that was probably too frail to walk on. Idiot, you're going to die. Her thoughts egged at her, though Ariella paid no attention to them and continued sprinting across it. It was going to be too obvious, the loud crashing of the bricks to the floor but she had no choice.

"SOMEONE'S RUNNING DOWN THE EAST HALLWAY!" All too suddenly the armed men were aiming bullets straight for her head as the floor beneath her was falling to its death.

It's not going to matter right? If I use my powers, once I get the Elemental Wish everyone will forget anyway.

The violet spilled from her fingers with ease, knocking each rifle from each person's clutches. Calls of agony yelled after her but she curtly ignored them, searching for an opening to the room that held the key to rewrite.

"Going somewhere?" The voice startled her and she was met with fiery blood-red eyes that curved into a Cheshire-smile. He had a canine tooth that peeked out from his lips as he spun the shiv around his large fingers.

"As a matter of fact," Ariella paused, tilting her head in faux chaste. He had no idea what was coming when her baby blues turned a frightening indigo, her lips curling into the same smile he'd once worn. "I am." With a violet push, he fell to his death off the thin cliff of bricks that remained.

Turning as if she'd never been faced with the challenge, she searched for the pile of ruin that hid the door to the Elemental Wish. "Come on, come on." She chanted to herself, kneeling before the once-dining hall and trying to find her bearings. "I'm east and the room's north so if I turn-"
