"Y/N L/N?" Lloyd's eyebrows furrowed as he tried to suppress a humorous grin. No, this couldn't be right. This had to be some sort of stupid joke to lighten the mood. "The mathlete captain?"

"Uh, yeah?" Kai cut in, giving his shoulders a little shrug. "What's so surprising about it?"

This time, the blonde actually let a laugh slip. "Have you lost your minds?" He shook his head repeatedly, refusing to believe their obscure accusation. "No way, you've all gone mad."

The Y/N L/N Lloyd knew, was a smartass student in his eleventh-grade class who could probably run for valedictorian at seventeen. Not to mention the fact she was also a part of the representative council and mathlete team every year. With being so involved in school life, it was hard for him to even imagine the girl with a spare moment – let alone to murder someone. Topped with her round-frame glasses and Americana smile, she seemed like the perfect candidate for good rather than evil.

Zane brought up a blurred photograph of one of the front-page assassins and a clean shot of Y/N on the computer. "Their physique is awfully similar, don't you agree?" The Ice Ninja turned to the rest of the group, opening another record of absences. "Y/N's absences of after-school meetings, eerily match up with certain dates of some of The Iridescent murders."

"Okay, okay guys," Lloyd held his hands to stop any further accusations. He was trying his best not to lose his temper, seeing as this whole Y/N thing seemed way too far fetched. How could they expect him to wrap his head around his ex dying and some random girl at his school being a mass murderer? "This looks desperate, don't you think? The Iridescent literally murder every other day!"

"Lloyd's got a point," Jay speaks up, combing his fringe out of his eyes. "I mean, come on this is a minor from our high school, not to mention this whole theory is random!"

"Not all random, Jay." Zane defends, switching tabs to a WordPad document of notes. "Jordyn had been keeping an eye on her ever since a few drops of her blood was stained onto Fifth Avenue's alleyway after a particular murder. Additionally, more of her blood was sampled on a few cases afterword – each at Iridescent crime scenes."

This was news to The Green Ninja. "What do you mean? When the hell did we find her blood on an avenue?" He didn't mean to snap, but he was easily getting tired from all these surprises. "Why didn't Jordyn tell any of us?"

"You know how she is- was," The nindroid corrected himself, a hint of grief in his tone. "Never jump to conclusions without all your evidence, which I wholeheartedly agree with. The problem is, we're running out of time." He pinched his temple, heaving a sigh.
