Four months later...

To say Katherine was nervous was easy to say the least. Today was her wedding day, a day that she never dreamed of having. Back home, no one saw her, always in Namie's shadow. Even when she died, Katherine shut everyone out. She never expected to be here in a white dress about to get married.

Yet here she was, having servants dress her in a lavous gown, preparing her for her new life.

Queen of the Underworld.

Katherine took a deep breath as someone tightened the corset, causing some of the air to escape her lungs. After a few tugs, the corset was set, leaving Katherine a heaving mess.

"Is a corset really necessary?"

Namie giggled before nodding. "Just remember how to breathe." Katherine groaned.

It took three servants to carry the dress. The dress had a sweetheart neck line with a ball gown skirt that looked three sizes larger than Katherine that pooled at the ends and started a train in the back. It had a lace like pattern embroded into the fabric. The veil had a similar pattern at the edges and flared  down to the floor.

It was a beautiful dress. Fit for a queen.

It was a struggle getting the dress on. The skirt itself seemed to weigh a ton. It took all the servants to lift the skirt over Katherine's head. Finally, the skirt was over her head. Katherine breathed in relief as the hard part was over. Namie tightened the bodest and tied it into a bow.

Next was the hair.

Namie twisted and curled her sister's long hair. She tied half of it into a bow shaped bun, leaving the rest of her hair in long black waves. Namie placed the veil onto Katherine's head, using a simple silver comb to clip the veil into the bun.

Namie then went to the makeup. Like at the proposal, she kept the makeup light, only using powder foundation, a nude smokey eye, and a pale pink lipstick.

It was hard for her to not cry as she starred at her sister. She had always dreamed of seeing her sister on her wedding day.  Though she was dead, it was still a moment that she was happy to see. Besides, Katherine was not only her sister, but her new queen.

"It's time."

Katherine swallowed the large lump that formed in her throat. She took deep breaths to calm herself, but her nerves were still raging on.

"Don't be so nervous," Namie cooed. "I'll be right next to you the whole time."

"What if I can't do it? What if I'm a bad queen? What if all of the souls start to hate me?"

"You will make an excellent queen. Hades certainly thinks so. We all believe in you, Kat. It's time you believed in yourself as well."

Katherine took a nervous breath before nodding. Namie held her hand, taking note on how her hand shook with nerves.

The halls were silent as they walked closer to the throne room where the ceremony was being held at. All of the Olympic gods and goddesses (Hades' family) and other minor gods were here, waiting for the queen to be.

Hades stood at the alter with Zeus and Posideon, feeling the nerves wash over him the same way they did when he proposed.

It shouldn't have unnerved him. He was married before, he knew how the ceremony went. The bride would first swallow the six pomegranate seeds, accepting the terms set by Demeter when Persephone was alive. Then they would share vows, then the bride would be corronated in front of everyone as the new Queen of the Underworld.
