The Ultimate Duel

A new power

The checkup began with anything like last month, the rest tested their power on combat, while my battle orb was upgrading.

After waiting for what seemed like hours, my new power was..........(sorry I wanted suspense) shape shifting. Masons beam power got strong enough to penetrate titanium, Randy's magnetic power got strong enough to connect with the shaping of metal and Spencer's illusion power were made to look more and more realistic

In school, I wasn't really getting the whole shape shifting thing cos when i wanted to shape shift to a dog, I became a cat, I wanted to shape shift to the principal and became my mom, the worst part of it all is that i got grounded, apparently my mom thought I was trying to play a prank and suddenly, Stacy stopped helping me when I was bullied, I almost lost a tooth today

Stella's been acting all weird lately she is always having those mood swings as if her boyfriend broke up with her...Wait that's it Justin broke up with her.

I searched for Justin's probe account and it says he is single and hungry, so yeah it means they've broken up, at least she is his longest girlfriend, they dated for a month and thirty days, their two months anniversary was supposed to be tomorrow

Today was more of a cliff hanger between a good day and a bad day, i discovered some old Chinese symbol in the training yard which gave me super artillery and I made it to the football team so I guess I will see more of dumb face Steve and I got an A  on my math test, the key was to not tell her about the note on the board, but the fun did not end there, I also saw some codes written on the wall

"They are ancient codes that have been written for centuries", master Shifu explained due to the confused look on my face.

"Then why do they look funny", I asked  being confused

"They were made by the first ever freedom fighters to pass on their legacy" master Shifu further explained

"Then how come I'm part of the four squad if I'm not a freedom .... whatever ?"I asked concerned

"For now the reason must be unknown to you"he said firmly

I went home thinking about what master Shifu said, it echoed continuously in my head, it repeated again and again as if I was in a trance, why must the reason be unknown to me, i became more confused and puzzled than I already was

It was nice while the silence lasted but my two faced brother had to interrupt my moment of silence and deep thinking and concern with a punch, but this time I wasn't going down easy, so I retaliated with a slap and then a back leg kick directly on the side of face. I don't know what his problem is, but I enjoyed the site of him rubbing his face in pain and then running away.

I continued to think about what master Shifu said before dozing off

I woke up on the floor this morning, apparently Steve had exacted his revenge plan while I was sleeping since he knew that he could not physically challenge me

" what a coward" I thought to myself

I met my friends at my locker waiting and looking at me ready for questions well ready to answer questions that I might ask

"What happened" I asked looking at the weird looks on their faces

"Nothing" they replied in unison

It was there and then I knew that something was wrong and I knew that I had to find out and I knew just who I was gonna find out from

"Mason, it was Steve who killed your old goldfish" I blurted out

"Well we didn't want you to know that you're only in the squad because its your destiny to battle the dead man" Mason ratted "yeah I told him" he continued feeling very proud of himself.

"Dude it was me who killed your goldfish" I confessed

"Ohw then pretend I didn't say what I just said" he stupidly said"and you owe me a new goldfish" he continued

That was already enough, that fish cost $29.99, I mean who pays that Mich for just a goldfish.

I went home thinking about what I found out, I was destined to fight the dead man

"where?, when?, how?, why?" I asked myself

How can I battle the dead man, I can't even battle thunder tiger by myself, then this Allen Strange says I'm supposed to have  some kind of duel with him.

The duel with Allen Strange was enough to have my mind on now they say I have to battle  the dead man, he has ghost powers, all my attacks could just go right through him.

I remained vigilant throughout the night, staying awake until the sound of my alarm freaked me out other than tell me another day had come.

Today as I said I was scared out of my pants by my alarm clock, I took my bath and then set out for school.

It was intense  the way I was so vigilant expecting a fight at any time soon, then I remembered that it was only me, my blockhead brother and my back to normal sister in the car as we headed for school

Even in school I didn't let my guard down so much so that when my teacher asked me for the meaning of something I didn't hear I replied dead man, I don't know what that f**k is happening but if anything happens I'll be so ready
