There is a relentless stream of tears over my face now. All the pain and sleepiness overwhelm me, and to make matters worse, I am also fighting with my idol. That I call a good first impression.
I wouldn't even consider myself attractive under normal circumstances, I am not really skinny, nor thick, I am just not fat, I guess, and my rebellious curls don't really push my self esteem either. The most eye-catching thing about me are probably my bright blue eyes, but the years of mockery and ridicule of my beloved classmates made sure that I see nothing but the negative things, when I look at myself in the mirror.
Leo lifts my chin with his hand, so I have to look him in the eye. "I'm sorry, really, I am. I didn't want to criticize you or anything."
"It's alright, I... I...", I have no words and again I burst out into tears.
"Shshsh...", he tries to comfort me and rubs my cold hands to soothe me.
"You are totally wiped out", he dries my tears carefully and gently with the sleeve of his hoodie, which is tattered, but smells so good of washing powder and him.
"You're chilled to the bones.", he sits down next to me and puts his arm around me. When he pulls me towards himself, he warms me and I am able to release some tension.
"I am an idiot for accusing you of something like that, instead of helping you directly. I am so sorry!"
"You're not an idiot! I am glad you found me, so I don't have to be alone anymore. I was starting to get afraid."
"Why haven't you been afraid of me? I mean you didn't know that I was a maybe idiotic, but still nice guy..." he winks at me, but I recognize that he still blames himself for his behavior before.
"I, uhm, recognized your voice and, uhm...", I say with embarrassment. My face heats up and I blush, lowering my eyes in shame.
Leo understands what I mean, right away. It surely isn't the first time he meets a fangirl, with the slight difference that all the other fans had time to prepare and get all dressed up for it.
"I knew it was you, the moment you started talking. I love your music, especially your parts. I listen to them all the time and even translated them. Your words mean so much to me and helped me, you gave me hope and courage." I covered my mouth, taken aback. I didn't want to say all that. Now I just made a complete fool of myself.
