Me: Look it's not that hard to understand.
I said explaining to JoJo our history homework.
Me: You just have to write what the answer is.
JoJ: Zoe it's toooooo hard for my brain.
Me: Ok look which Romanov had supposedly been alive?
JoJo; Idk? Princess Me?
I hit my head will he laughed.
JoJo: Ok fine it's Princess Anastasia.
I cheered and he laughed. When suddenly his eyes light up.
JoJo: Go get ready, we're leaving in five!
I looked at him confuse before running to my room getting dressed. I grabbed my purse, my phone, my portable charger, cash, lip balm and a pen with paper. I went downstairs and JoJo blind folded me.
Me: JoJo that's not funny!
JoJo: You can't see so I'll guide you.
Me: You better not make me fall Joseph!
He laughed and started walking towards his car. He made me sit and started driving. I sang without seeing that pretty nice haha. When the car stopped I knew we were there. Gently JoJo got me out of the car before taking off my blindfold.
Me: Woah!!!
I said looking at the amusement park JoJo has brought me to.
Me: Omg Jo!! Thank you!!
I said hugging him while he hugged me back and smiled. He took my hand and started walking towards the park. We played all day, doing roller coasters and winning prizes. At the end of the day, I had 5 big stuffed animals and a good 10 smaller prizes.
JoJo: Did you have a fun day?
Me: YES!! Are you crazy?! It was the best day ever!!
JoJo: We have one last surprise...
Me: JoJo you've spoiled me so much today.
JoJo: I insist.
He took my hand and we walked to a photo booth. JoJo put a couple of pieces in before we entered and took embarrassing pictures. When the timer was finish we looked at them and laughed like two crazy people. People were looking at us like if we were crazy...which we kind of are. Anyways, we got back home and he helped me bring all my prizes upstairs in my room. At the same time I got an incoming call from Tal.
Me: Hey babe.
Tal: He-e-....JoJo?
JoJo: Hi Tal.
He said embarrassed.
Tal: What are you doing in my girls room?
JoJo: It's not what it looks like, I just helped her bring the prizes upstairs. I'm leaving now.
Tal: Prizes?
Me: JoJo and I went to the amusement park. We won stuff.
Tal: You and JoJo? Alone?
Me: Well there was other people there....
Tal: Don't play dumb babe. Were you guys alone?
Me: yes....
JoJo: I'm leaving now.
He said walking out the door. But I knew he was secretly listening behind the door.
Tal: WTF ZOE!!!
Me: What?
Tal: You're going out with another guy?
Me: What?! No!! Jojos my friend Tal!
Tal: That's not how it looks!
Me: If I wanted to be with someone else then I wouldn't be with you!!
I said looking straight into his eyes. Well straight into the screen.
Tal: I don't want to fight, not today.
Me: Fine. Me neither! I had a fun day don't want to ruin it.
Tal: Well my day was pretty shit! The meeting got canceled, then mom got a food allergie.
Me: Oh, is she ok?
Tal: Shes getting better. But we don't know what caused the allergie. Anyways, after Matt almost fell off the both.
Me: Ong!! Poor Matt.
I said laughing. He laughed but clearly wasn't amused.
Me: Do you want to talk about it?
Tal: I said I didn't want to fight.
Me: It's clearly eating you alive. So go!
Tal; Ok..so Ik im out, and ik you need someone but turning to one of my friends isn't the bed idea. Also JoJo has a crush on you, so that doesn't help.
Me: you think I'm gonna choose JoJo over you?
Tal: You Guys clearly spent a good day together, and he makes you happy.
Me: That's what friends are do. What best friends are for. Yes he makes me smile...but not the way you do.
I said putting my head down.
Tal: Babe....im sorry....ik you won't just I almost lost you I don't want 2 lose you again.
Me: you won't. I promise.
And we kept talking about his trip and everything.
Me: When are you coming back?
Tal: In 2weeks....
Me: WHAT??!!! Tallllllll that's so much timeeee!!
Tal: ik babygirl But i can't leave my mom here with these fools.
He said laughing, I faked laugh before we hung up. I can't believe this. He's not gonna be here for my birthday.....wow. Wow!
Me: JoJo you can come in now!
I saw the door open and JoJo was standing there...with his head down and playing with his hands.
JoJo: Hes not gonna be there for your birthday is he?
Me: No....he's missing it.
JoJo: Oh Zo....I'm so sorry.
He said gently approaching me, when we were close he hugged me. I hugged him back breathing his cologne.
Me: its my 18th birthday and he's gonna miss it. Anyways I'm gonna go take a shower..talk after oki.
He approved before leaving and closing the door. I opened my phone and saw two notifications, one was from Tal sending me pictures of the designs he wanted and the second one was from my mom telling me to call her. So I did.
Me: Holà mamá.
Mom: Holà niña.
Me: What's up? Why did I need to call you?
Mom: Do you have news from ur brother?
Me: Yeah why? He's here.
Mom: Ok good. Can you ask him why he stopped sending money?
Me: What? Hes sending you money?? After the check!!!
Mom: yeah I ran out of money.....
Me: It was suppose to last 2 years!! Not barely 2 months!!
Mom: It's the gambling...
Me: Even after everything you won't drop it. Why? Aren't your kids more important?
Mom: When you have kids, you'll see what it is...
Me: No I won't. I wont put my addiction before my kids! You raised me into the woman I am today, so why can't you do that for yourself? Can't you raise yourself like you did for me? For Anthony? For George and Andrew?
Mom: It's not that easy...they want to take George and Andrew from me....
Me: Who wants that mom?
Mom: Child Service.
Me: Can't we take responsibility for them? Anthony and I?
Mom: I-I-I- - ....
Me: I'm gonna fight for them mom. They are my family.
