Connecting...
"BAD." I hear Zak yell from the other side of the phone.
"What's up?" I answer
"Where do you live?"
I pause.
"Why would you want to know..?"
"I wanna meet up with you." The moment he says those words, I feel like I'm gonna throw up.
"Wait...Really?"
"Well, duh."
"Oh, my goodness."
"You don't want to?" I hear Zak say in disappointment.
"No, of course I do. It's just- you don't think we're going too fast?"
"I dunno, do you?"
"Well, no, but-"
"Then there you go!"
"I guess you're right."
"I know." he laughs.
A few moments in silence pass, before Zak picking the conversation back up.
"So are you actually down to meet me?"
"I am if you are."
"Okay. I gotta go, but we can talk about our reunion later tonight. See you, Bad!"
"Yup. See you, muffin."
And with that, he hangs up. I toss my phone onto my desk and flop onto my bed. A little part of me is really anxious to actually meet Zak. I exhale the breath I had subconsciously been holding, and I close my eyes.
