Want You Back (CHANBAEK / BAEKYEOL)

Ch.1

Chanyeol and Baekhyun, they were in love and it showed, they loved each other so much that people were envious of them. After three years of dating they were torn away from each other, poor Baekhyun had no idea why and Chanyeol wasn't giving him any answers, eventually they disappeared from each other's lives. Despite Chanyeol harshly breaking it off with no explanation, Baekhyun still longed for him. A couple months after Chanyeol broke his heart Baekhyun's life fell back into place, but something was still missing. Someone to love. Baekhyun tried so hard, a few blind dates set up by friends, a couple of dates with people he met once and never saw again, maybe a few one night stands, but nothing was the same, he couldn't find anyone like Chanyeol.

More months pass and the wound Chanyeol made was healed but left a scar. He gave up on finding someone to love again, he's more grown up now and understands that Chanyeol was just a phase in his life and he'll be able to move on. Now it's been 2 years since Baekhyun last saw  Chanyeol, and he's doing well. He has a job interview at one of the biggest entertainment companies, PSJ Entertainment.

And here we are.

Baekhyun put on his best suit for the interview and made sure to look nice and clean, he's going for a position on the marketing team. After checking his reflection one more time he nods in approval to himself and leaves for his interview, thankfully the building isn't very far which is another reason this job would be perfect for him. After the short car ride, Baekhyun arrives at the PSJ Entertainment building, he walks in and with the help of a few employees he finds his way to the interview room.

Baekhyun knocks on the door and opens the door after hearing "Come in".

"Hello Sir." Baekhyun greets the interviewer.

"You're Byun Baekhyun I'm assuming?" He asked.

Baekhyun nodded.

"Well have a seat, I'm Kim Junmyeon by the way, head of the marketing department." He introduced himself.

Mr. Kim asked Baekhyun normal interview questions like about past job expirences, why he quit, nothing very interesting. Everything looked promising though, Mr. Kim seemed very fond of Baekhyun so he felt like he had a good chance of getting a spot. The day went on, Baekhyun went home, changed into some comfortable clothes and put on a movie. Baekhyun suddenly felt very lonely, he missed having someone around to cuddle with when he felt like it. Baekhyun decided to call one of his best friends, Oh Sehun.

(b.b.h) (Baekhyun's POV)

"Hey Baek, what's up?"
"Uhh...nothing much I'm just bored." I answered.
I could hear him laugh a little,"You want me to come over to cuddle don't you?" He asked.

I'm not surprised Sehun already knew the reason I called him, I've been doing this for a while now. I wouldn't say I'm using him, friends cuddle and besides, we don't have any romantic feelings towards each other and I don't think he minds.

"Aaah...I'm sorry is now not a good time for you? It's okay I'll just-"
"I didn't say I couldn't! I'm on my way Baek."
"I'll see you in a bit then." I giggle.

After a little while Sehun arrived to my apartment, he brought ice cream for us to share too. Sehun stepped inside and removed his shoes, placed the ice cream in the freezer, and invited himself on the couch. I took a seat next to him and snuggled into Sehun's chest, Sehun wrapped his arm around my shoulder. It felt nice cuddling with Sehun but it wasn't the same as it was with...

Never mind.

"So how was the interview?" Asked Sehun.
"Not much different than any other. But I think I have a good chance of getting this job."
Sehun nodded and ruffled my hair, "Good job Baek."

We stayed on the couch and ate ice cream while watching a movie until I realized it was getting late.

"Call me anytime Baek I'll always come here for you." Said Sehun.
"Okay, thank you so much Sehunnie!" I thanked him.
"Anytime, don't stay up late! Goodnight." Said Sehun before leaving.

    After Sehun leaves I feel lonely again, obviously I can't just call him and tell him to come back so I sigh and head to bed. After hours of tossing and turning I finally start to fall asleep. Today was just like any other.

(p.c.y) (Chanyeol's POV)

  "I think these three would be good for the job, but of course we can only take one of them, so I thought we should make a decision together." Said Junmyeon

  He placed 3 resumes in front of me and I start looking through them, nothing very interesting...that is until I looked through the last one, I smirk while looking at his picture.

"I think we should take Park Jinyoung, Han Wootak is good, but isn't right for this company." I explain to Junmyeon.

"Alright we'll give it to Jinyoung." He stands up.

"Well...This Byun Baekhyun." I smile and turn to Junmyeon, "I like him. It'd be a shame to let him go hmm?"

"I agree, but you said we should take Jinyoung." Said Junmyeon.

"Oh I know, but let's offer him something else..."

"I guess, but what?" Junmyeon asks me.

"I've been quite busy lately, and we never replaced my old secretary, why not give him the job?"

"Secretary? Chanyeol, he wanted to be on the marketing team, making him your secretary is completely different than what he wanted, you do realize that he'll probably decline." Junmyeon laughs at me.

"I do, but let's tell him that if he does it we'll move him to the marketing team once another spot opens up. And if he does really well, we'll just add him." I explain, "That way, we'll keep him available for PSJ Entertainment and he'll have more experience with the company."

  "Ah...good idea, I'll give him a call."

  I nod and Junmyeon leaves my office, this should be fun.
