Want You Back (CHANBAEK / BAEKYEOL)

Ch.14

I wake up in my home as usual, except this morning I have a pretty man sleeping soundly next to me. I turn to my side and stare at his gorgeous facial features, the curtain in slightly open causing the sunlight to shine on his perfect face. I reach out and gently touch his cheek then run my thumb across his soft lips, his eyes suddenly flutter open and he looks at me in confusion for a moment then smiles.

"Good morning." I say first.
"Oh god I thought I was dreaming. Did we really..?"
I wrap my arms around his waist and pull him closer and kiss his lips, "Yes Baekhyun we slept with each other."

  His face turns red and I smile at his cuteness.

"Aww are you shy?" I ask.
"No. Fuck off."
I hug Baekhyun tightly and I can feel him relax in my arms, "Lets just stay like this a little longer yeah?"
"Please."

     Baekhyun and I silently cuddle now both of us are thinking, are we offically together again? I want to be but is Baekhyun really ready to accept me back? Whatever. What matters is right now, I'll worry about that on my own later.

"Chanyeol, let's just date again." Baekhyun softly whispers
"What?"
"I said let's date again dumbass. Forget the 3 dates bullshit you're the male lead."
I kiss his forehead, "I'd be happy to."

   Baekhyun gives me a peck on my lips and pouts, "I don't wanna work today Vice President Park...I wanna stay here with you forever."

I stroke his hair, "I'm sorry baby but I can't skip without notice. You can stay here today and I'll come home as quick as possible."
"But then I won't be able to see you! I'll come I'll come."
   "If you're tired don't come now, come whenever you want."
Baekhyun sighs and hugs me tighter, "Fine."

    I eventually get up and Baekhyun falls asleep again, after getting ready I walk back to my bed give Baekhyun another quick kiss and whisper, "I'll see you later honey."
"Nnngh go away you meanie."

I show up at work feeling amazing knowing that Baekhyun is sleeping soundly on MY bed. I smile like an idiot as I'm walking to my office until I see my parents sitting on the couch in my office.

"Oh? What are you doing here?" I ask nervously.
"Where's that secretary?"
"He's still at home. Why?"

My dad throws a file on the table, Baekhyun's resume.

"This is the boy you dated isn't it."
"Why did you-"
"I was curious about who you had hired. I certainly didn't expect this."
"Chanyeol it's okay you can be honest." Says my mom.
"Look. I hired him even though we weren't on good terms, I did it because I wanted to see him. And yes...I still like men. That's what you wanted to ask about right?"
My dad looks at me in shock, "Why the hell did you lie?"
"Because I knew you weren't happy about it! That's the real reason I broke up with him. But he makes me so happy, I'm not sacrificing my own happiness anymore. If you don't like it, take your time accepting it because I'm not gonna try to change ever again."
"I can't say I'm surprised, I knew you didn't lose feelings for him. I also can't say I'm happy about it, but since you spent the last few years trying to change, I'll try to adjust." My dad sighs.
"I'm ready to support you no matter what. Sorry I didn't let you know sooner." Says my mom.

I can feel my tears rolling down my cheek, a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can be happy now, happy with Baekhyun, guilt free.

"I love you, mom and dad." I hug my parents.

The timing is kind of awkward yet perfect. I arrived at work not long after Chanyeol did, and I walked in on him saying something like, "that's the real reason I broke up with him. But he makes me so happy..." I'm guessing he's talking about me to his parents, this must be a huge moment for him, I can't interrupt. I step back and sit on my desk, should I keep working as his secretary? It's not that bad, but is it what I really want? I think about what I really want as I look at my desk. I could just relax a little as his secretary, and I'd be around him more, that doesn't sound bad at all. But on the other hand, I want to work on marketing, it's what I like to do. I pull my hair and decide to think about it later. Not long after Chanyeol and his parents walk out of the office, I stand and bow to them.

"Baekhyun, it's been a long time hasn't it? Have you been well?" Chanyeol's mom asks me.
"Ah- Yes, well- I've been doing well recently."
"Come over for dinner sometime with Chanyeol! I'd love to catch up with you." Chanyeol's mom rubs my shoulder.
"I will whenever you invite me! Give me a date and time and I'll be there." I smile, Chanyeol's mom was always so nice to me, seeing her talk to me with a smile again makes me feel so happy.

After work...can I even call it that? Whatever. I sit at home, I think about my best friend Sehun, who I haven't contacted in a while. Things have been pretty awkward since we talked after I found out about his secret boyfriend. I want to contact him but I don't know why it seems so awkward to now, looking back I was just feeling emotional. I've gotten over it, I just want my best friend back. My thumb hovers over the call button on my phone, I take a deep breath and click the call button. Sehun answers almost immediately.

"Baekhyun? Are you okay?"
I laugh, "Dumbass. Just because I didn't call you doesn't mean you shouldn't call me."
Sehun laughs and sighs, "I wasn't sure if you wanted to talk to me. I missed my best friend Baek."
"Me too. I need to fill you in on what happened right fucking now."
"I'll come over right now, tell me everything."

Sehun arrives at my house with ice cream and other foods in a plastic bag just like before. I told him everything that happened from the confrontation to this afternoon.

"YOU HAD SEX?" Sehun nearly shouted.
"I HAVE NEIGHBORS SEHUN SHUT UP."
"I can't believe I missed that much. You had a whole ass drama while we weren't talking." He pouted.
I laugh, "At least there's no cliffhangers?"
"That's true that's true." Sehun says as he eats his ice cream, "The real question is, are you happy in life right now?"
I smile, "Now that I'm sitting here with you telling you about my love life, yes. Seeing him...honestly makes me so damn happy."
"I can tell. You look better too."

So this is what happiness is huh?

FINALLY OMG?? i'm so sorry for the wait :( at least i'm back now right? anyways i usually listen to music while writing so here are some songs I listened to as I finished this chapter that no one asked for.
