The more visions I had, the more I was visited by Dr. Walsh. It has been a month already since my first vision of waking up with blood dripping everywhere and now, my visions are a lot worse than that. I've seen bodies with familiar faces lifeless on the ground and once I even saw myself.

After nights of shouting and crying myself to sleep, I finally know my roommate. Well, since he couldn't stand hearing me shout in the middle of the night, he would often chat with me to calm me down. His name is Zack. He seems so familiar, but I still don't know where or when I've seen him. Although I'm sure I've seen him somewhere.

"Maybe you're famous!" I say. Well, that would explain why he'd be so familiar. "Me? Famous? In my dreams" he replied. We were sorta' like friends now which I didn't really expect. He was quite hostile at first, though. And he still keeps on hesitating whenever I ask something about himself.

"By the way, how'd you meet my sister? Are you from Yale too?" I asked. Yeah, he's Chelsea's boyfriend, the one she visited. Instead of me. "Uh, no. Actually, I come from the same school as you." he answered. Wait, what?

"We're not really...Nevermind. It's complicated. " he said.

Suspicious...

Well, whatever. It's not like I can do anything about it. There's no forcing him in talking about his life.

----

"You shitheads! Leave her alone!"

My sight was blurry and tears were running down my face since they damaged my contact lenses leaving me with red, sore eyes that will probably last for more than a week. I tried to control the tears but my eyes were hurt bad. I looked up and I saw a tall figure with dark colored hair. As hard as I tried, I couldn't make out what he looks like.

"Need a hand?" He said, reaching out his hand. I took it and stood up. I thanked him for what he did.

He responded with a smile, "No big deal. Those guys have been bothering people for the past few weeks and I hate them for it." But his smile quickly vanished once he saw my red eyes. He quickly brought me to a hospital and called my parents.

I stayed at home for the rest of the week. My parents didn't want the condition to worsen and they wanted to make sure I'd be safe. Unlike most teenagers, I told my parents the truth about what happened. They actually wanted me to transfer but I told them I'd stay since it was in the middle of the year and I just wanted to finish. That wasn't the entire truth of why I wanted to stay though, I wanted to know who saved me.

----

Zack told me that it seemed like I was in a trance. That I suddenly fixed my eyes on the glass of water I was holding and I couldn't seem to hear what anyone was saying. I told him that a memory of mine came back.

More specifically, a memory of him.

I got the strong sense that it was him, so I told him about it. "I.. don't actually know. I don't know, maybe it was some other guy or.." that was all he said.

After a while of debating on the topic, the bell rung which signaled for us to go back to our cells. We did nothing but talk about our lives and some neighbors even complained about us being noisy. For a little while, I got to forget about the bloody nightmares I had.

"If you don't mind me asking, why are you in jail?" I asked. "I..stole something." he answered reluctantly.

Well... to stay here for a year... he must've stolen something important..

"Hey, lights out in 5." a guard announces. "Well, I hope you don't get nightmares tonight." Zack says, before saying goodnight.

----

For the first time,
I woke up peacefully.

For the first time,
darkness wasn't swallowing me.

For the first time,
the nightmares were gone.
