V - mindreader

[Jaehyung's POV]

I heard laughing from outside my room, probably the kitchen, before I slowly opened my eyes. With a big yawn is sat up and the rubbed my eyes. A look onto my phone told me that it was already 12 PM. Well, I went to bed late after all. I wondered if Younghyun was already awake. He didn't sleep a lot, usually. A bad habit of his.

I got up and one step after another I made my way into the kitchen, where I suspected the noise to come from and I was right. I greeted my friends with a tired smile and sat down on one of the empty chairs, next to Dowoon. “Good morning!” he greeted me cheerfully, soon followed by Wonpil saying the same. “You look tired” Sungjin chuckled. “No wonder, ” I began “I went to bed ad like 4 AM or something..” – “Yikes” he replied, to which I just nodded. “I think we need to discuss something, now where, everyone's here” Younghyun suddenly exclaimed. “Did you forget to go grocery shopping again???” Wonpil asked shocked. I snorted out a laugh. “That's not it!” While looking at Younghyun, I waited for him to begin the discussion.

“So.. Uhm...,” he began nervously, probably trying to form a proper sentence in his head “Last night I met this one guy. He wasn't just a normal guy.. He was a mindreader. He might know about the scientists and the laboratory now... He seemed kinda trustworthy, though! He gave me his number in case we decide to trust him.” – “Woah there! That's a lot of information to progress,” Dowoon replied. Younghyun nodded “I know. That's why I don't wanna make any decision alone.”
I raised my voice as well “I don't know.. It seems kinda dangerous as he can, you know, just hear everything we think. So if he works for any sort of enemy we're basically fucked.” – “Well, yeah.. But he seemed lonely. Like he could've also faked that but I don't know..” Younghyun said.

Then Dowoon had an idea “What if I send a bird over to him to spy him. It can tell me if he's trustworthy! And I mean he doesn't know about our powers, beside Younghyun probably.” Sungjin had his concerns “That sound like a good plan, but how are we gonna find him?” – “Younghyun has his phone number. I could hack his phone so he can't find our location,” I retorted. “You guys are brilliant!” Wonpil claimed. I laughed. “So is this want we'll do?” Younghyun asked with a soft smile on his lips. “I suppose, yes,” I grinned.

Younghyun gave me his phone number so I could examine his location, my eyes glowing green as I did so. After I was done I looked at Dowoon “Will you call one of your friends?” He nodded and stepped outside, onto the balcony. His eyes also glowed in a green color, brighter than mine, as he asked a little sparrow for help. Some the little bird made its way to the ominous mindreader. Jeez, it was way too early for all of this, if I was being honest. But better we find out who that boy was as fast as possible. Dowoon told the sparrow to come back in the evening so we had lots of time until the results.

I threw myself onto the couch in the livingroom and scrolled through Twitter and YouTube. Nothing too interesting. I noticed the couch lower a bit on my left. As I looked next to me I found Wonpil smiling at me. “You think that boy would be helpful if we were to trust him?” – “Definitely! No need for trust issues anymore. He could just tell us who's bad and who's not,” I laughed.

I tried to make this as long as possible but I didn't want to switch mid chapter POV so that's what's happening in the next chapter!
I'm acutually starting to get a glimpse of an idea on what to do with this story lmao
