Hello readers, I'm new to all this fanfic writing so please bare with me. I'm a massive Harry Potter fan as you could see, haha.
So let the story telling begin.

Chapter 1; The truth
I awoke on the breezy autumn day of august 31st by the pain in my shoulder. A lighting shaped scar laid on my left shoulder, I never remembered how I got this peculiar shaped scar, its been there ever since I could remember. I soon forgot the pain and rolled out of bed how I did most mornings. I grabbed the clothes lying on my deck chair and quickly changed into the jeans and woolly jumper. "Jessica!" I heard my mother call from downstairs, I ran down the stairs missing the last two out and skidded into the kitchen nearly knocking my little sister, Lola, over.
"Jessica, you really do need to be more careful. Anyway, you have a letter on the table." She said to me while rolling her eyes. I skipped over to the table and looked down an the letter. Its was in a, what looked like, ancient envelop, it was sealed with a mark that I have never seen before. I ripped opened the envelop, my eyes scanned the piece of parchment was in the envelop, my eyes widened .
"L-Lola, please can I talk to mum alone" I managed to say, without having to ask twice she left shutting the door behind her. I handed my mother the letter, my hand slightly shaking.
" Dear Jessica-Lily Potter..." My mother stopped reading at once, her face looked like she knew this was going to happen. She cleared her throat and carried on reading the letter out loud,
"... We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft And Wizardry, term starts on September 1st. Your 'Mother' will explain everything you want to know for now. Yours sincerely Minerva McGonagall Deputy Headmaster " She stopped speaking and looked at me. Not waiting for her to talk i started firing questions to her,
"Is this a joke? Why did they say 'Jessica-Lily Potter? I'm a witch...?" Tears were streaming out of my eyes. My mother rushed to my side pulling me into a tight hug.
"No Jessica, this isn't a joke, its true, you are a witch. And they called you 'Potter' because that is your real name. When you was 3 years old, your real parents got murdered by one of the strongest wizard's off all time. I was one of your mothers close friends, so I adopted you knowing you mother and father would of wanted you to be with someone they trusted. I also know you have a brother who is you years younger who also is at Hogwarts. Most off this will be explained when you arrive at Hogwarts. You will be in your sixth year and behind everyone. I will have to take you to diagon ally tod-"
"One minute, so I'm adopted and most of my life is a lie? You mean to tell me Lola isn't my little sister at all? And I have a brother?! And by the way... whats diagon ally?" I manged to spit out
"No, she isn't, I'm so sorry. Diagon ally is where all the wizarding shops our, before you ask, yes i'm also a witch. Now let let me wake your father- i mean Peter up so he can look after Lola and i will be right back, grab you coat and put your shoes and and then we will go"She pecked my cheek before running up stairs. I grabbed my boots and coat and put them on slowly not realizing that I was still crying. My mother, or should I say Karen, came down stairs and took my hand and led me to the fireplace. She reached for a little pot on top of the bookcase and opened the lid. Inside was some purple dust.
"This is floo power, what you need to do is grab some of this and stand in the fireplace say loud and clearly 'Diagon Ally' and throw it to your feet, okay?" Karen looked me in the eyes, I couldn't be angry with her, she's raised me for 13 years.
"Okay" I whispered, I grabbed the powered walked into the fireplace took a deep breath.
"DIAGON ALLY" I shouted before i threw the powered to the floor.
