I choose a pink hair dye, and brought it back to the loop, Emma and I went into the bath room. Emma is going to help me with dying my hair,

"Are you sure about this, both you and I can get in a lot of trouble," Emma said nervously, shuffling from one foot to the other,

I rolled my eyes, "Since when is the great Emma Bloom scared of getting in trouble,"

Emma stammered, flustered, "N-No, of course I'm not scared, now let's do it!"

"Okay," I replied, looking at the instructions, "So first step, wet your hair, okay," I turned on the sink and wet my hair, "Next, take the brush included and brush on the dye paste evenly and thoroughly on your hair, or if you want streaks, cover only parts of your hair,"

"Okay, here it is!" Emma said, grabbing a brush and a small container of paste, which I am guessing it's the dye,

"Well then I'll do streaks," I took it and started to put it to the front of my hair, then turned to face Emma, "Mind getting the back?"

"Of course not," Emma replied, taking the brush,

Once we finished that, I let it sit for an hour as I waited in my room, bored, staring at the ceiling. Finally, after what felt like hours, the one hour is up, and I washed it out and putted in a towel until it dried.

"Emma!" I exclaimed, as she came in after delivering another letter to Abe, "It is finally done!" I pulled of the towel with a slight flare of dramatic.

"Wow," Emma said, touching my hair slightly, "I have to say, I expected it to be more of a pale pink, but this is more of a hot pink,"

I looked in a mirror, I still look quite the same with my blond hair and all but it have a cooler vibe now with the pink streaks.

"It looks amazing!"

"Yeah," I said, "Don't you just love it!"

"Yeah, but what will you do when Miss Peregrine sees you?" Emma asked, smugly,

"Well I'll just figure it out as I go,"

* * *

Soon enough, it was dinner, in order to avoid Miss Peregrine I tucked my hair into a white, floppy hat, which go along quite well with my bright yellow dress and white shoes.

I took my usual seat next to Enoch and Horace,

"Hey," I said to Horace as I sat down,

"Oh, hi Mia," He replied with a smile, everyone in this house calls me Emi,  but I allowed Horace to call me anything he want, because..... Well just because. Horace is one of my most best friends and I trust him not to call me something silly.

"What are you reading?" I asked, noticing a small, leather bounded book in his hands,

"The world's most boring book ever, Millard was just showing me what he wrote," He replied, putting it on the seat next to him,

The seat next to him, which I thought was empty, but is sat by Millard exclaimed, "Hey! It is not! Emilia, do not believe him, it is very interesting,"

I snorted, "Yeah, sure it is," It is Millard's book of everything that happens in this loop, I remember the last time Millard showed it to me, which was just a few days ago, he is always trying tor get someone to read it.

"Children," Miss Peregrine said as she walked into the room, with Bronwyn following carrying multiple platters of food, "Dinner is served," she took her usual seat at the end of the table, she frowned as she saw me, "Miss O'Conner, you are not allowed to wear hats at the table, take it off immediately,"

I widened my eyes, "Um," I said as I noticed Emma trying hard to keep from laughing, I glared at her and turned back to look at Miss Peregrine, "Is it truly necessary though?"

"Yes,"

"Okay, here goes nothing," I muttered to myself as I took off the hat, I heard gasps and whispers,

"What?"

"How?"

"Why did she,"

and "Hahaha," Emma laughed

I looked down, embarrassed,

"Miss O'Conner, what-how-why did you do such a thing," Miss Peregrine asked, "You know what, I don't eve want to know, go upstairs without dinner, now!"

I speed walked upstairs to my room, and just laid down on my bed, staring up on the wall.

About half an hour later, I heard a knock on the door, thinking it's Emma I said,

"Come in!"

Turns out it was Horace, "Hi, um I brought you some pie! I know it's your favourite," he said, handing me a plate of apple pie,

"Thanks," I grumbled,

"Are you all right?" he asked, concerned,

"Yeah," I replied, "I just feel so stupid, doing this," I pointed to my hair,

"Well I love y-it," He said, his fingers brushing through my hair,

I giggled, "Th-thanks,"

"And think of it like this, in life, you will make mistakes, and this mistake will just take you closer to finishing all that those mistakes ," he joked,

I laughed, and shoved him lightly, "Oh, shut up,"

I looked up at him, our faces merely inches apart, and is moving closer. When all of a sudden, the door flew open, and we moved apart from each other as soon as it opened,

"Hey Emi, do you know-" Emma said as she came in, but stopped when she saw us, then gave me a smug smile, "What are you guys doing,"

"Nothing!" We both said at once,

"I-I was just getting her some of the leftover pie," Horace said quickly, and hurried out of the room,

So Emma then turned to me smugly with a smirk, "Soooooo, what were you two really doing?"

"Nothing!" I defended,

"Rubbish! I heard you two talking all lovey dovey from outside!"

"Emmmma!" a voice called from outside, "It's time for the reset!"

Emma let out a groan, "Oh I forgot that we were going to watch the reset, and you aren't going to be able to come,"

I silently cheered in my head, "Oh, well that's too bad," I replied innocently,

"We," Emma said, "Are not done with this conversation just yet," and she left,

Which leaves me on my bed thinking, were Horace and I really about to kiss or is it just nothing?

Hahaha, I bet you are all hating Emma for barging in, interrupting their first almost kiss, don't worry, there will be something in the next couple of chapters that will definitely make up for that. Stay tuned!

XOXO, Victoria
